1.Tell us more about your experience as an educator.

For me teaching is the most enjoyable profession, because teachers are living with 'live files'. We could interact with students from different walks of life. As a teacher I could realize the harsh realities of men through the children. We could simultaneously take up the roles of a parent, mentor, friend, guardian, facilitator and so on. This profession enables to touch the bottom of heart of child and so I consider it as the most blessed profession.

2. What is your opinion of the Indian education system and how would you like to change that?

Indian edu.system is comparatively good in the sense that "Right to Education" is enlisted as a fundamental right by Indian constitution. All the students upto the age of 16 are given free & compulsory education . But the real problem lies with the method adopted for study. We should cut down the academic hours inorder to equip the children to pursue their career along with studies. It could offer an independent and socially responsible citizen to our country.

3. What changes in the teaching methodologies have you seen in the recent times?

The recent learning enables the child to explore beyond the textbook and he/she has to learn from outside. The new trends in learning equiped them to be ardent nature lovers and observers of humanity.

4. How does education help one do well in their career?

Education guides the children to pursue their career. An educated child is befilled with practical wisdom & knowledge, and so he will be aware of the changing trends and wide opportunities awaiting him. He/she will be able to select their suitable path according to their talent as well as interest and naturally they will lose the tendancy to stick on to traditional professions like Medicine & Engineering.

5. Do you think teaching as a profession is viewed at par with corporate jobs?

There is a hidden teacher in every professional. A teacher's role is undoubtedly necessary in moulding a person to a professional. So it can be viewed as a noble profession.

6. How can we adopt technology to make teaching more effective?

The immense opportunities provided by the digital media & the internet could be exploited to the maximum for the effective teaching and learning. Visual aids provided by the digital platform equips the child to experience live learning.

7. Why does India need more educators like you?

Future developed world lies within the inspired minds, which in turn are ignited by educators. So promote education & promote educators for a bright future.
