1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am a food blogger based in Delhi. Currently pursuing masters in history from Delhi University. I have my page on Instagram which is all about Food and a little bit of lifestyle too. I developed an interest in this 3 years ago.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

Food blogging was never the plan. I started blogging when I was 19 and started sharing pictures of food across Delhi NCR on Instagram. I started putting more time and effort in editing and photographing the images I’d share on Instagram. Slowly, people started following my work and I was able to build a small community of food-lovers. I started to receive mails from restaurants who invited me to taste their food and review it on my Instagram.

You can visit my page @whatsupdilli.

3. Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?

Well, I am a real foodie and can eat and enjoy almost anything, but I guess my very favorite would be Indian followed by Italian.

My favourite Indian dish is Butter Chicken. I love to have it with Garlic Naan. As for desserts, I absolutely love Gulab Jamun!

4. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

I personally appreciate the food quality, the ambiance of a restaurant and value for money. Adding to this, neatness, cleanliness and maintaining hygiene of the place is expected in every hospitality establishment.

5. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

Will go for “Gulaab Jamun” . Everyone drools over it, no matter how full, you cannot resist. In terms of dish, just butter chicken.

6. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

Since everyone is on social media, you need to stand out to get more followers and you can do that by creating authentic and original content. Bring something fresh to the table, and do something different. You have to be true and you have to differentiate yourself from others.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

I am not really into reading books. I think it’s just not my thing, he he.
