1. Tell us about your background and journey.

“They call me Legally Blonde” – Arushi Sethi @NailiesByArushi
I am born and bought up in Delhi who believes in living life to the fullest. I am a
Lawyer by profession and an Influencer by Heart. I have always been someone who loves to dress up. While studying Law also I loved experimenting with new hair products, cosmetics and nail paints.

Deep down I feel I was always headed this way.I have always been a very private person who was hardly active on Social Media so I consider being an “Influencer” and a “Content Creator” Destiny as it truly makes me happy.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

It all started when I started practising law. I was curious about what Nail Extensions were, what Make Up techniques I could use and kept experimenting more with my hair.

With every year passing by, my interest grew but my work was hectic along with
unexpected timings, so I couldn’t invest much time on it but it definitely made time for me, so much so that I finally decided to Start “NAILIESBYARUSHI” on Instagram
I have a website in my name. My Page is all about “Beauty” both inside and out. I make content focused on Make Up, Nails, Hair and Skin Care.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

“Not every Influencer is a Blogger and vice versa but one can be both”
Putting it in simple words, a Blogger is referred to as someone who shares Articles
on topics that he/she has interest and knowledge. Whereas an Influencer is someone who has an influence over many people who rely upon him/her for ideas and insights on a Niche.

An established Blogger can also influence their audience and likewise even an
influencer can share articles on topics they wish to cover. So one can either be a Blogger, an Influencer and sometimes both.Being an Influencer, with the sole purpose of blogging too, I launched my own website so that makes me both.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Yes definitely. In today’s world almost everything is online so being an influencer is definitely sustainable. However, it is highly unpredictable, just like in the case of
business, the earnings are always fluctuating.

5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?

As per me, I think there are three major factors that influence consumer behaviour. Personal, Psychological and Social. Psychological being what is perceived by a consumer. Social being how his/her circle, be it family or friends influence him/her. Personal being his/her own interests and beliefs.

All three play a major role in what product a consumer decides to invest in.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

“Hard Work Always brings in Success” is the absolute Rule I always follow. I have
never seen a person fail from Hard Work !!!

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

I think the general perception about Influencers is that everything comes in easy but to be very honest, in my personal opinion it requires a lot of hard work and dedication.

Just like any business one has to really invest themselves in it.Anyone who has a creative side or maybe are really good at something can become one by sharing it with the world. Creating good and valuable content and focusing on the needs of your audience are also very important.

Also, I believe that one can never be a good influencer unless they truly feel for what they represent. Trust me your audience will know if you are faking it, so be real and authentic.

8. Which is your favourite book and why?

I am someone who loves reading inspirational books. The ones that make you wake up in the morning and achieve something in life.
My two current favourite books are “Who Says You Can’t ? You Do” by Daniel
Chidiac and “Tuesdays with Morrie” By Mitch Albom.
