I am a BTech and an MBA graduate and have a total work ex of 40 months. Have worked in a corporate as well as a startup. Always had a passion for cooking in parallel.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content, and how did you start?
I always wanted to do something in the food industry, be it pursuing a culinary course or opening my gastropub or a cafe. But building the credibility was important. Hence, I started using Instagram for this purpose and build a community through my cooking.
3. Is vlogging and content creation a financially sustainable career?
I am sure it is. I earn through it currently and the more I work, the more I will grow. The money will then be just a byproduct of my work. And this is true for any profession, in my opinion.
4. Who is your favourite creator, and why?
Always was Gobblegrams. I had been following that platform for a year, and I am lucky enough to be associated with them now. They have an amazing feed, with creative people coming in from all over the world and showcasing their mettle. I have always been a big fan of Gooblegrams' content.
5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
My kitchen helps me think differently. My mom inspires me. She always has. Even though she is a doctor, she used to cook at home after work, and I used to watch her create different dishes. That is how I picked up a lot of things. Also, my aunts who taught me how to cook from a very young age, along with my mom. I go back to them in case of any query, and I get a solution instantly.
6. What does your typical day look like?
Currently, it is all about cooking. Thinking of different recipes, be it snacks or main course or even desserts. Video shoots and food photography consume a lot of time, but I love every moment. I feel happy doing all this, and this is my calling, tbh.
7. Which is your favourite book, and why?
Has to be "Humble Pie". This is an autobiography of Gordon Ramsay, who is like the godfather of cooking, along with Marco Pierre White. There is only one reason to love this book, learn from the life of the master himself.
8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?
Follow your passion in whatever way you can. I know it is easier said than done, but something good always comes out of it. Never give up.
