1. Tell us more about your role & responsibilities at your college?

I am an arts student, I was always inclined towards writing. I write poems and quotes. I have a Instagram account by the name yepp.i.write. I mostly write poems on mental health issues to spread awareness because many youngsters are struggling with stress issues and I have experienced it too. As a young poetess I play the role of encouraging other youngsters to not give up and try to become a better version of themselves. My poems and write ups are exposed to a large number number of audience, so with that comes huge responsibility. I try my best to not send a wrong or negative message from my works and it's tough to do so because I write about stuff like depression, anxiety and suicide which are delicate to deal with.

2. How did you rise up to your position and how can a student aspiring the same, approach it? Tell us more about the journey?

writting is a therapy and the thing you are really passionate about needs nothing to rise .I became sure that I was good at writting poems when I had just recovered from a serious mental health illness and at that point writting helped me a lot.I was encouraged by a friend of mine she is elder to me and she is a really good poet she suggested me to create an Instagram account to share my poems and write ups.

3. What have been some of your biggest challenges and learnings from what you do?

my biggest challenge as a poetess has been to be able to connect with my readers on an emotional level because good poetry is the one which moves you and have learnt that it's important to be spontaneous in order to make a strong bond with the readers.

4. What did you do in your current role that makes you feel really proud of yourself?

recently I wrote a poem on why suicide is not a good option and how one should think million times before committing a suicide.I am really proud of this poem because there was a time when I myself contemplated suicide and one more thing that I am proud of is that I have reached 450 followers on Instagram. It might sound very normal for y'all, but for me it's a great achievement for me.

5. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

I would say that to get out of your shell, always go for internships and conferences. You can get surprised with the potential you have during the tasks. I also suggest that it's better to always get consulted by an adult or a person who is experienced in the field you are passionate about because that helps a lot and stops you from making many mistakes.
