1. Tell us more about your role and responsibilities at your college.

My current responsibility which is nearing completion is being the Treasurer at the Department of Economics.Besides this, I was the Under Secretary General, Delegate Affairs at LSRMUN.

2. How can we encourage more young students such as yourself to take up leadership role?

Just go for it- you might initially feel like you may not be good enough or you may be weighed down by qualms…but just do it and you will thank yourself later.

3. What have been your biggest challenges and learning from what you do?

The biggest challenge I’ve encountered is that you may not be able to please everyone.Although this was initially difficult to accept, in the end, my role taught me that as long as your conscience was clear and you were not hurting anybody, just go ahead with the decision.

4. What are your career goals and how is what you are doing is going to help you with that?

I want to pursue a masters sometime soon and get into research and policy analysis done from an economics angle. The research internships and projects I'm currently working on have been conducive in that regard.

5. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

Use LinkedIn to contact people at organisations you want you intern work at.You might be surprised at the number of replies you get. Also, connect more with your seniors  and keep asking them about opportunites.A lot of opportunities are hidden in plain sight and networking unravels some of the most interesting finds out there!
