1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I am a cinematographer and an editor at a YouTube channel HMM. I started this page to showcase my Photography and gradually I realized my love for food and therefore started this page four years ago (2016), in order to unveil my passion for Food and Photography as well.
Till now, this has been my journey which I have been sharing with my followers. It has been a pretty exciting journey.
2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?
Definitely, Indian. Honestly speaking, people like a variety of cuisines like Asian, Italian, etc. but according to me, nothing beats Indian food and the satisfaction it gives is beyond words and comparison. My favorite dish is Butter Chicken.
3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?
Food Blogging or any Content Creation can be just a passion and a regular career as well. It all just depends on your consistency and dedication from the beginning. Even though it’s been four years but I hadn’t been able to put in full time.
But definitely, this can be followed as a regular career with hard work. The most significant point is your end goal and perspective; proving value to your work and filling the gaps in the market of any particular niche.
Also, I think it’s a subjective question as Food is something that is relatable in general. But ultimately it is scalable and it can be monetized.
4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?
There is no particular food joint that I would like to suggest, it just depends on the food you want to eat. Recently I wanted to eat Chhole Bhature, so I went to Sadar Bazaar and had the same at Nand Bhature Wale Di Hatti.
So, if you are a Chhole Bhature fan you should just give it a try.
5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?
A good balance between Presentation and taste matters the most. Basically, to make it more audience-friendly, Presentation needs to be given attention but along with the taste because that’s the most integral thing.
Apart from this, there are other factors like Pricing, Location of the food joint, etc. Also, presenting an authentic dish with a unique technique makes it distinguishable.
6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?
I really like Desi Chinese food because it’s really convenient to make. In the lockdown, I have been cooking these dishes and they are easy to go with very simple ingredients. I really feel contented after having Desi Chinese.
Chili potato is always my thing because it’s really spicy and I never bother about the consequences after having it.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
I am not much involved in reading but I like watching movies, The Pursuit of Happyness is my favorite movie.
