1. Tell us more about yourself and your life.

An eternal optimist who believes in enjoying work and having fun and make it a way of life. ' Being Happy' is work in progress for me.

2. What led you into the field of career coaching and entrepreneurship?

Having worked extensively for 15 years in the corporate world, I kept harbouring a passion towards reaching out to students to address their career decision process.

Since the last 8 years , I work closely with students ( both for undergraduate and postgraduate studies) in making career decisions at a deeper level, and that gives me a sense of fulfillment . I also work closely with women returners, women who have had a break from work and now want to get back into main stream work-life.

3. What is that one cause you care deeply about and why?

Each student/ individual is unique and has skillsets , apptitude, that can be customised to each self in order to the best of his/ her potential.

I strongly believe that each great career- fit makes the world a better place.

4. If one wants to contribute and make a difference in the entrepreneurship sace, how can they do it?

It's important to understand how one can leverage their experiences, skills , interests and aptitudes. If they are okay with driving their personal objectives and making it work, keeping in mind attributes like resilience , adaptibility- entrepreneurship can be a great space. The key point here is that one can be their own boss! Also if freedom is one of your key career driver or motivator , being an entrepreneur can be a wonderful choice.

5. Who is your role model and why?

I look for inspiration in personality attributes and traits of people I meet or read about . I look up to various people from various fields and try to use it at particular situations in my work and personal life . This is something that has worked for me and keeps my interest in the wifm search alive .

6. What are some of the challenges and roadblocks you have faced along your journey?

Many indeed but all have been worth it! . I must confess that I did have a mind block of marketing myself initially. But I worked towards that . I'm slowly beginning to enjoy the process and love creating the need and help envision the impact of my work in the client's mind .

7. Your opinion about the current situation with respect to your industry?

It's a tough time for the industry. However, re-doing strategies, using the tech platform positively, collaborating are few things that worked for me . Earlier it used to be more face to face interactions and now has been replaced by the online platforms . I feel b2b has seen a dip and many have started focusing on b2c possibilities.
