1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Hey, my name is Manrich Kaur from Khaale Jee Bharke. Currently I’m pursuing Bachelor of Education from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Since childhood, I was a big foodie and always wanted to explore new dishes and food joints.

During my graduation, one of my friend suggested me to start a page where I can continue with my hobby. I am also very fond of clicking food pictures so from there I started this page.

Till now my journey was filled with ups and downs which I feel was totally worth it. I started this page back in 2017 and it was really going well but in 2019 due to some personal problems and load of my studies, I was not able to give time to it and decided to quit.

But after thinking about my passion for food this year I started it again by working hard day and night, overcoming many sleepless nights, I reached to 10K followers. Overall this journey has been really very beautiful.

Consistency is the key to win. I do not need to go to new joints to have content for my page. I believe "When there is a will, there is a way." Since lock-down had all shops closed, I decided to become my own chef and try out cooking new dishes, which my audience really loved.

2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?

I am a pure vegetarian who has immense love for food. Talking about my favorite cuisine I basically love Indian food a lot. Besides that I’m also fond of Italian and Indo Chinese cuisine.

Coming to my favorite dish, I am a big Pizza lover and crazy about homemade Chole-Chawal. I can literally eat these two dishes any time, any day.

3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

According to me it can be both. A person can make his/her career out of food blogging but it will require sheer dedication, lots of hard work and creativity.

I started this page as a passion and I still think about continuing it this way. My main profession will be teaching but I will continue my blogging side by side. Through this page, I wanted to connect to more people with passion for food just like me and now I have a happy 10k fam!

4. Which restaurants/ food joints would you recommend to food lovers?

Being a foodie, I really love to have street food because that represents our Indian culture. There are various places where we can enjoy delhi's street food like Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Sarojni Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place, Rajouri Garden, C R Park and many more.

If it comes to cafes and restaurants then Echoes, Farzi Café, Xero Degree, Cafeteria & Co., Sandoz, Imly and Big Yellow Door would be my picks.

5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

I appreciate a particular dish by observing its texture, flavor it gives to my taste buds and the way it is presented. While reviewing a restaurant, the first thing I appreciate about their food is its quality, quantity and value for money.

Secondly, I observe their service, ambience, cleanliness and how well they host their guests because nowadays the domain not only focuses on food but also what services and hospitality a person is getting from a particular place. All these parameters help me in reviewing any restaurant.

6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

As I mentioned above I can eat Pizza and Chole Chawal any time and any day, both of these dishes are very close to my heart. People who are close to me know how much I love both of these and how it can literally switch my mood to good.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Honestly, I’m not fond of reading books except those which are related to my course and syllabus. Haha! The last book I read was “How to Stop Worrying & Start Living” by Dale Carnegie and it was a good book.
