1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

I'm about to complete my graduation in B.Com Hons from Zakir Hussain College, Delhi University. My journey towards art cannot be defined in a few words, because this is what I love doing, more than a hobby, it's a passion for me.

2. When did you decide you wanted to be a painter/illustrator?

Art has been my love ever since I remember, and I really wanted to do something in this field. After a lot of practice and hard work, I decided to open up as a freelancer in 2015, and I'm still working great with the orders.

3. Is it a financially stable career?

If you have showcased your talent in your own unique ways, yes it's a stable career. There are many people who love art and crafts but can't make it, hence they collect. We come to the rescue then. I believe moulding something in your own ways to make it look attractive, opens door to your bright career in this field.

4. Who is your favourite illustrator and why?

I get inspired every day, I see something new and I want to redo it in my ways. Hence, taking one name won't do justice. I love art in every form, and the creators too.

5. Where do you get inspired to create art?

Anything I see, which attracts me and stuns me, I tend to create that work, whether it's nature, a person, or even any materialistic thing.

6. What does your typical day look like?

Since I work with an NGO too, my typical day goes with the kids and working for them. When in the evening I get back home, and I want to relax, brushes and colours call me towards them, and I eventually paint something to calm my mind.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future aspiring illustrators?

I just want to convey that practice is the key to everything, in any field. Even if it's for 30 minutes a day, just try to paint something, don't leave what you love, ever!

8. Which is your favourite book and why?

I am not that Avid reader but I like to read art journals. I have also read about a few artists and their life such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michel Angelo, Pablo Picasso etc.
