1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Well , I am Tanmeet Singh Arora, born and brought up in Delhi. I have done my Hotel management from Pusa institute of Hotel management, catering and nutrition, Delhi Branch.

Now I am successfully running my Restaurant business. I started writing food blogs and reviews in 2012 and have collaborated with many 5 star hotels and restaurants.

2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?

I love grilled and tandoori food. Tikkas, kebabs and grilled meats are my favorite . So I really enjoy our own Punjabi cuisine, Mediterranean and Arabic food being my next favorite. I Have a real weakness for Indian and European desserts.

3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

Well, Food blogging for me has been a pure passion. It depends on person to person, whether they want to take food blogging as a career or not. It does take time and dedication and yes, if one works hard and has a passion to learn, they can do well in the food blogging industry.

4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?

There are many preferences as far as food lovers are concerned, and believe me the lists in each category e.g Street food, European food, Indian food, etc, are very long . I am based in Delhi and can recommend a few places to food lovers in the city.

For Punjabi food, I love going to Bhape da Hotel, Connaught Place and my own restaurant "Amar Jyoti". These 2 places have been my favorite for Punjabi food. Nirula's has been my childhood favorite. So I would recommend you that one .

I also had a fantastic experience at the Ophelia, The Ashok. That was before lock-down begun and I am yet to have a food experience like that. As far as Pan Asian cuisine is concerned - The Sidwok, Fujiyas and China Garden have been favorites.

I would also highly recommend EVO for pizza lovers and H-man, for grilled food lovers, Sanadige and Dakshin, ITC for coastal food. Fez, for Mediterranean food is also fantastic.

One must visit Shyam Sweets in Chawri Bazaar for the street food - The Bedmi Poori and Aloo Ki Subzee with Sweet Lassi there is to die for.

5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

I love getting treated at a restaurant the way I like to treat my guest when they visit mine, and it has to be a combination of delicious food, great service and value for money. So it's a win for a Restaurant if they can deliver these three aspects.

As far as a dish is concerned, it should taste great the moment its first bite goes in, the portion size should be perfect and one should not feel over eaten or starved after finishing it.

6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

Well i can't state the exact reason, but tandoori chicken or a good seekh kebab comes in my mind as soon as I wanna eat out. So I think, I can associate myself with these two.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

I am not much into reading books, but I love reading articles on food. Vir Sanghvi is my favorite author.  I also love reading articles on history and contemporary world.
