1. Tell us about your background and journey.
It all started with my love for travel. I had never in my life dreamt of being a food blogger. I used to work as an academician and later as a project coordinator in Africa. Love for travel was my companion from early childhood days.
I always enjoyed exploring the unexplored, experiencing new cultures, and mingling with people. Food is obviously one of the major elements that constitute a society's culture. Slowly I started focusing more on food from 2015-2016, and now I am a food lover to the core.
Started by food vlog - Food N Travel on YouTube in the year 2018 and I wholly enjoy it.
2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?
Being a Malayalee, I always love Kerala's local cuisine. It's because that's what I have been accustomed to from my very infanthood. It doesn't mean that I play down any other cuisine.
My favorite dish, I love food and I feel it's subjective. At times I love Kanji (Congee) and at times Malabar Biriyani. When I long to have fish fry meals, I just can't think of anything else but - fish fry meals.
3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?
If it's just your passion, it might die down after a while. If it's 100% money motivated, it will surely lack charm. If your passion is fuelled by income, it can last. However, the sources of income vary - bloggers need to identify this for themselves.
4. Which restaurants/food joints (any) would you recommend to food lovers?
It's tough to recommend just one food joint, as tastes and preferences differ. However, I would surely recommend restaurants that offer authentic flavors.
Some of these restaurants may not have that posh ambiance or prominent location. If you are a food lover, you can surely hunt down those restaurants or food spots.
5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?
Good food + good service + good ambiance – enough to bring a smile on my face when I eat that food.
6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?
Sure, Biriyani. I just love Biriyani.
