1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born and brought up in Delhi itself. I did my
schooling from Presidium School. Currently, I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree
in Mass Communication from Amity College, Noida. Talking about my family
background, my mother is a chartered accountant and my father holds his
personal business.
2. What led you to start your page on Instagram
and what is it about?
Honestly speaking, initially, I was unaware that I could create
my own page or platform at such a huge level. My best friend Aastha Pandey has always
inspired me. She used to say "Mannat! Please start blogging, you have that
capability "and voila! I listened to her! Here am I now!
So, if I need to
really give the credit to anyone or even the reason of why I had started I
would give it to her! Also, I am really very thankful to my Mother who is my
leading inspiration. She has been my constant support since the beginning.
She
found the calibre, the passion and zeal to do something great inside me and
kept supporting me. I feel grateful for having these two gems in my life.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger
from an influencer?
See, I personally believe that blogger and influencer are
very different from each other. Influencer holds the responsibility on people minds. They
hold the impact on a large number of audience. Basically, they work for their
audience and it's their duty to properly show them the right direction.
Whereas, a blogger is for themselves. They too create content
for the audience but in a different manner. They create their original content,
perform it and showcase it.
4. Is it financially sustainable to be an
influencer today?
In my perception, that’s a pretty tough even. See, if I
speak the truth no, not really. You cannot really get financial stability by
blogging. Maybe at a later stage but not at the initial or making up the place.
Because, for being financially stable through blogging, one needs to have a
well-established name and collaborations with brands. That demands consistency,
of course.
5. What do you think influences consumer
behaviour?
I think consumer or audience in today's date want valid
and sensible stuff that is for the betterment of the society. According to me, if
you give them proper entertainment in case of blogging and the right cause in case
of influencing they will like it. There is no other way around.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra
in life?
For me ‘hard work is the key’. And I am not just quoting up
the phrase but for real life, hard work and patience are the main keys to get
success. You will get your goal. If you
are working in the right direction, it will all be worth it.
I personally,
follow these principles. I wake up and push myself to work harder than yesterday
and that helps me to keep going ahead.
7. How can someone become a successful social
media influencer?
Here I will go with mantra again. If you want to be
successful in any platform may that be in social media or in any other
platform, you just need to work hard! Hard work along with determination always
pays off!
If your content is right and it is sensible enough then nobody can
stop you from achieving what you want.
8. Which is your favourite book and why?
My favourite book has to be ‘Chanakya Niti’ for sure! It
shows me the right path while reflecting on how to overcome your failures. It is
my favourite!
