Insights on Instagram by an Influencer: Ashish (Lucky)

What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
My love for showcasing my style may it be by wearing stylish apparel or traveling to places and taking my audience with me and then influencing through my music and singing.
How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Blogger is someone who writes around the content they want to showcase and create a story and influencer just promotes whatever product comes to them in the best possible way by a picture or video.
Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Not too sure because everyone has different living standards, someone is a student and doing it as a semi profession whereas somebody else lives their life through the earnings from brand collaborations.
What do you think influences consumer behavior?
The consumer looks at the cost-benefit analysis and if there is any discount or freebie attached to a product they consider it a profitable buy whereas other consumers look at the product review and the influencer they trust.
Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
I think it is a good move where everyone now doesn’t only post to get those numbers but also look at improving their content. Work should matter and then people will eventually like you for your content.

What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
I believe success is what makes you happy. You being able to pursue your dream sometimes can be called success and sometimes being in a well-settled job earning a lot also is not if you aren’t happy.

My mantra is to never settle and keep that fire burning. Evolve.

I’m an engineering graduate with a master's in international business from Dubai and left my full time consulting job to take my singing into a full-time profession.
