1. Tell us more about your company and your journey

I am the Founder & CEO, HuEx Inc., Founder, Plus Capital Global Inc. I am also an advisor and director in several companies. Besides, I am a serial entrepreneur, investor, meditator, evangelist; excited about sharing economy and enthusiastic to learn about a startup idea with good potential.

I was a 29-year-old kid with 12 years of experience. I was the youngest entrepreneur and the youngest person in the history of PGPMAX,”

In 2008, some astute investments during one of the most difficult financial crises in recent times brought out the shine in my financial genius.

We got positive returns for Plus Capital India and the same year got CNBC TV18 Best Wealth Advisor’s Award. I was just 22 years old, and I was on television.

During my eighth term at ISB, I went to Wharton Business School for strategy classes and to IE Business School, Madrid, for one term.

I am also passionate about several things such as finance, technology, business, collaboration, innovation, shared economy and travel. To unwind, I play golf, sing ghazals and classical songs.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

My curiosity to meet new people and form bonds with them took me to Silicon Valley and several other places. I am very open to meeting new people, talking to them understanding them.

This is how I have learnt most of the things in my life. I have a knack for building connections and creating networks with people. I am very persevering and resilient.

My venture HuEx (Human Experience) stemmed from my passion for collaboration and innovation. HuEx is redefining human experiences with a mission to create a more collaborative living and working environment for everyone.

It’s about removing stranger danger biases and connecting people with common interests, helping them flourish professionally and personally with these connections.

3. What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

I began my entrepreneurial exploits in my late teens, at 17, when I founded Plus Capital in 2002, much against the will of my parents who wanted me to study medicine. But providence willed that I translates my passion for finance and asset management into lucrative ventures.

4. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

Creating something meaningful that would employ a large number of people drives me. Money is not my motivation. Whenever I get into any comfort zone, I pull myself out of it and explore something new and that’s how I discovered HuEx.

5. What are your tips for first time and aspiring entrepreneurs?

I am a person with a lot of resilience and perseverance. My message to the fellow alumni and students, specially PGPMAX is that you make yourself more accountable, make yourself more responsible.

Power comes with responsibility. Be resilient, be perseverant, see the world with a new perspective and see what all you can do on this planet, not always for monetary purpose though. Create long-term impacts.

6. What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business?

At the top you become so lonely that you cannot share your problems with your employees or with your people. One has to learn to deal with their loneliness. I read a lot and reflects a great deal, I made a habit to indulge in reading for at least two hours a day.

I believe that, as a gratitude of having received ample in life, it’s my duty to help others too. I donate for a cause and supports a school in Ekwari, a village in Bihar, which has become a sought-after school by even the local MLAs because of its quality of education.

I introduced the concept of Katha Vachak (that uses the art of storytelling to persuade people) and has used the technique to abolish child marriage in the village. UNICEF adopted this model and has implemented it across India.
