1. Tell us more about your roles and responsibilities.

The basic role of a class representative is to solve each and every problem faced by the student related to the subject or faculty, remain in touch with the faculties, seniors, provide info of every student and subject.

Being a class representative, my major responsibilities are fulfill the requirements of my classmates, need to know their opinions regarding class issues, discuss the views of each student to the respective faculty combine on a particular issue, maintaining the decorm of the class, maintain record of each student and many more.

2. How did you rise up to your position and how can a student aspiring the same, approach it?

To rise up my position from class representative ,my first focus should be on communication skills means i should be more interactive and understandable, dutiful towards my work, should have better contacts with teachers and students. This helps me in learning new things and how to fight against difficulties more better.

If any student want to aspire the same position he/she should be interactive, friendly, lovable nature, able to fulfill the responsibility and majorly the confidence.

3. What is it like to juggle between a leadership role and normal college life?

Initially, it was a challenging task but with the support of my colleagues and teachers I have learnt to manage how to deal with the duties of being a CR and enjoy the college life at a same time. Also, I have learnt to manage my academics as well as class duties.

4. What have been some of your biggest challenges and learning from what you do?

In my college, there are many students who came from Tamil Nadu, Chennai basically from south side so my biggest challenge was to deal with them and understand their problems or issues.

I have learnt how to be more interactive, how to deal with the issues smoothly. Also, I have learnt leadership qualities. It boost up my confidence and helps me to make more friends.

5. How do your parents look at you participating in extracurricular activities? 

My parents feel proud. They support me in every aspect. Whenever I got stuck and confused between college work and class representative work, they helped me in finding a solution. These extra activities helps us in every manner.

6. What are your career goals and how is what you are doing going to help you with that?

My career goal is to live a smooth life and a good job in hand.

The class representative thing helps me in making my communication better, it makes my speaking skills more good, helps me in making more friends and many more. Also, it helps me to work upon how to be more impressive and bring up good leadership qualities.

7. How can we encourage more young students as yourself to take-up leadership roles?

We can encourage the students by telling them the benefits like it establish the leadership qualities, helps you in communication protocol, how to be more impressive, how to deal with the duties, how to manage time and many more. Also, spreading thoughts on how leadership roles help in the career development.

8. What’s your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

Internships and conference provide experience and learning things on different level. It gives us a complete understanding of our roles and responsibilities. It helps in making new connections. Internships and conferences are the best way to pick up the skills before going into any job or so.
