1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I was born in Shimla and brought up in the capital city New Delhi. Right from school (The Indian School) days i was very active in sports and dance. After balancing sports and dance, soon dance took my attention along with time.

In my college days though i was the leader of my Dance team of Sri Venkateswara college but during fests I used to make sure to attend street plays and theatre plays as i was always fascinated by the art of acting.

Soon, I started training aspiring professional dancers across the country and soon moved to the city of Dreams - Mumbai. After training in Hip hop from Los Angeles and having a strong base in Delhi, I decided to start afresh and didn't know many people in the city.

Slowly i started working in the Bollywood industry as a choreographer and got the opportunity to work with the renowned choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant for the song Swag se Swagat and there was no loooking back.

Soon after I auditioned for my part in Street Dancer 3 and bagged the spot, the journey has been tough but my love for the work that i do made it an adventurous ride so far and made it appear somewhat smooth. Looking forward to explore myself further and cannot wait for whats in store for me!

2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?

Since the beginning of my journey, all I wanted to do was Dance. I was always very grateful that i was able to do what I love, for a living. However, soon especially once i started working for movie songs and saw film making up close it really made me feel that I have more to myself than just being a dancer, not that being a dancer is insufficient.

It takes years and years to master the craft but my dream of becoming an actor was already somewhere there within me and it came out when I became a part of the entire process of film making and now have started studying and practicing the craft. This gives me immense joy.

3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?

The deeper you dive in the more confident you will be in any work you do. Similar is for acting, keeping the fascination and love for acting aside its very important to know the technicalities and different kinds of approach to feel and make the situation appear as real as it can get.

4. If not this, what would you be doing?

I never saw myself sitting in one place, doing a desk job. I love to travel, so I would probably do something related to travelling but somewhere I would be performing as well because I am incomplete without that .

5. For a complete outsider with no inroads, what advice would you like to give?

Always believe in your potential and dreams because only you can do that for yourself and be consistent in practicing your craft.

6. What is your mantra of success?

I always choose to do things that give me inner satisfaction and happiness and that's why whatever I do,  I give my 100% and I never stop learning.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

The alchemist, Same soul many bodies, Many lives many masters.
The way they talk about our potential as beings and how everything is connected with our energy and thoughts, has really inspired me.
