1. Tell us about your background and
journey.
I passed
out my Bachelors in Technology (Electrical) in 2016 and started my career into
blogging later that year. The Fashion Industry has always fascinated me and
pushed me into fashion blogging. Undoubtedly, I loved my field of engineering
as well and I used to enjoy my studies more than anything else.
Unfortunately,
that job could not satisfy my dream job and passion. Like other individuals, I
wanted to do something out of the box to get the name and fame in the society.
Since childhood, I was very creative and multi-tasking. Along with my studies
in school, I used to sing, dance and develop some fashionable ideas.
2. When did you first decide that you
wanted to create content and how did you start?
Talking
about my journey that got its kick start at the end of 2016. Initially, I used
to shoot myself randomly while experimenting with some creative fashionable ideas.
And I was in love with these tasks, though I was studying hard for the job
simultaneously.
Unexpectedly, I used to feel contented when people or viewers started
loving my posts. Gradually, I started growing in this field and build
confidence in myself.
2018 was my turning point when I with my friends got
selected in Top 10 team of a contest organised by Ponds and I decided to give
my blog a professional direction.
I have
gained many audiences through that contest and started working on my page
whole-heartedly. I, as an influencer, always preferred simple but classy looks
that could be carried elegantly by my followers. Because I believe casually,
people hesitate in carrying fusion.
I was in the seventh heaven with my growth
in this field. I was very passionate about music and dancing, but due to some
personal grudges, I could not make my profession in the music industry. I still
rehearse.
3. Is blogging and content creation a
financially sustainable career?
I would
say, Yes, obviously considering the focus and determination. To make blogging a
stable career, there is a need to think positively, stay focussed and work
determinately. Grabbing opportunities would definitely help you in getting
favourable outcomes.
I would say, the main focus should be on the quality of
content rather than quantity because one can get the desired output with
quality content. Further, keep working to get collaboration offers from different
brands.
4. Who is your favourite creator and
why?
I adore
numerous content creators but considering the fashion bloggers, I adore
‘Thebohogirl’ from all my heart. She is such a great, positive and creative
blogger who manages India, Western and Boho style altogether, so creatively. I
definitely love the different styles of Indian Fashion.
5. How and where do you find
inspiration to churn out content?
Before
creating content, I try my best to bring something different to influence my
viewers. And my passion for styling helps me getting some unique ideas anyhow.
It does not stop here, I keep trying to improve the prevailing ideas.
6. What does your typical day look
like?
My days
look quite different since I have been into blogging. My whole day gets into
shooting and editing. Whenever I get overburdened, I give myself a break for
one or two days for chilling with friends and family. And of course, there are
numerous other tasks at home.
7. Which is your favourite book and
why?
I love
reading detective fictions and Bomkesh Bakshi, Feluda always top my list of
favourites.
8. What piece of advice would you like
to give to future and aspiring creators?
I would ask
aspiring creators to stay positive and confident, no matters what. Apart from
these, learn to love yourself and welcome haters. I believe these are the 4
most important values to move forward in life. Further, if you are working
wholeheartedly on any project, think about positive outcomes and ignore
negatives to reach the height of success.
