1. Tell us about your background and journey.

So I’m a student in commerce, having done my Bachelor’s in Business Management, I worked for a US based retail company for about 4 years.

I’ve always been passionate about clothes, fashion and the entertainment world and didn’t really fit into the 9-5 desk job life, which is why I went where my heart belonged. 

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

While I was working for corporate, There was a new app in the market that was just launched which was called as Dubsmash and that’s when I started making videos and started to really enjoy making them! 

As they say if you do something that you really like and enjoy, the universe will guide you. And something just clicked! People started liking my videos and I started to gain more followers and there was no looking back for me!

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

I think they are at least a little similar if not completely. A blogger is someone who provides content, information & ideas that varies from fashion, style lifestyle etc through a blog.

Whereas an influencer on the other hand are people who have the ability to influence the perception & decisions of their audience based on the influencers own experiences.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Yes absolutely, As long as you are willing to put effort and work! For that matter any career, The key is hard work, dedication and to do it with your heart and soul.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

I feel there are multiple factors that Influences a consumer behavior. For example social factors, most of us like to follow the new trends when it comes to fashion and style and I’m sure a lot of other things as well. 

We all want to be a part of some trend at the end of the day. Even personal factors. Things that might be personal for the consumer. For example a consumer with a healthy lifestyle will be influenced by products related to healthy alternatives than junk food.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

Well, like I’ve said earlier, whatever you choose to do in life or which ever path you decide to follow, do it with all you hard work and passion and I guarantee you the universe will manifest.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

I think the first step is to find your niche. Figure out what works for you and something that really interests you. Consistency is key! Build your own community, get to know what attracts your audience and what type of content is getting more traction. Do make it a priority to engage with your audience, that way you can also understand what your audience is expecting from you. This way you slowly build your community and loyal followers!

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

Although there are plenty of books I’m fond of, my favorite is, ‘The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini. This story explores the bonds of friendship, loyalty, hatred, jealousy and being selfish. This book taught me that redemption is possible. It is within your power to turn your wrongs into right, that making mistakes does not make one a bad person. We can always realize them and redeem ourselves by doing the right thing.
