AWS Summit

AWS Global Summits are free events that bring the cloud computing community together to connect, collaborate, and learn more about AWS. At AWS Summits, we can learn how to choose the right database, modernize your data warehouse, and drive digital transformation using AI. In these summits, we hear and learn from AWS leaders, experts, partners, and customers. Summits are held in major cities around the world and attract technologists from all industries and skill levels who want to discover how AWS can help.

Components of an AWS summit:

At AWS we learn by attending technical breakout sessions, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, labs, and team challenges.

1.   Workshops

Workshops are 1-2hour sessions that engage attendees in a small-scale, hands-on format that provides a more tangible way to learn.

 2. Hands-on Labs

Hands-on labs help you evaluate and learn how to work with AWS solutions through step-by-step, self-paced instructions on an AWS Console in a live practice environment.

 3. Hackathon

Hacks and Jam Sessions are highly gamified events where participants complete tasks that challenge and educate them on the use of a wide range of AWS services.

 4. Chalk-Talk

Chalk talks are a highly interactive content format with a smaller audience. They begin with a 10–15-minute lecture delivered by an AWS expert, followed by a 45–50-minute Q&A session with the audience.

 5. Certification

Becoming AWS Certified recognizes individuals for their AWS expertise and enables organizations to identify skilled professionals to lead IT initiatives. Demonstrate your technical proficiency on AWS and receive special recognition.

  6. Builder sessions

Builder sessions are 60-minute small group sessions with up to six customers and one AWS expert, who are there to help answer questions and provide guidance.
