Food Is More Intimate Than You Think - Adarsh Mishra

I believe my passion for food led me to choose this path. Also, love and acceptance from people led me to this journey of food blogging. It helped me gain confidence and courage.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I come from a simple middle-class family and I am an M.Tech postgraduate. Unlike other engineers, I did not dream of working in big MNCs. I am an extrovert, outgoing person who loves to meet new people and understand their experiences especially if it’s related to food.

My love for food led me to this incredible journey of 'Raipur Foodie Love' which is a page I started on Instagram. I started my page @raipurfoodielove to share my experiences and passion for food with the world. I am pretty active on social media with more than 37k followers on Instagram and 50k on Facebook.

I am a professional social worker and have been able to create an amazing balance between my professional and personal life by devoting weekends/holidays to my passion and love for food. I truly believe there is no love more sincere than the love for food.

2. What led you to do food blogging?

Like every other Indian, I have been fond of Indian delicacies. I truly believe that ‘food is more intimate than you think' and a good dinner can make anyone smile. I made 'Raipur Foodie Love' page just for fun. But to my surprise, people loved it, recognized me and responded warmly which inspired me to do food blogging.

3. What does your typical day look like?

Usually, my day is occupied with my digital marketing work. In evening hours I explore various food hubs to write new contents for my food blogs.

4. When did you first decide that you wanted to create and write content about food i.e. for blogging?

I believe my passion for food led me to choose this path. Also, love and acceptance from people led me to this journey of food blogging. It helped me gain confidence and courage.

5. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

I love almost all Indian food. But if I have to tell my favourite dish, then my taste buds always tickle for aloo parathas and tamatar ki chutney and Biryani.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

I am not interested in reading novels. Also, my work occupies most of my hours. But in my leisure, I prefer reading poems.
