Leader is the key to success in work and development
of the institution, and the person who determines failure or success in
achieving goals, as he motivates the team to present all their capabilities for
success.
Leadership is the art of serving and training others
to highlight their full potential, as it is the ability to make a decision or
action in order to motivate others in addition to the ability to use the
leadership charisma with the powers to achieve the goals of the institution.
Since the leader is the basis of success, he must have
many qualities that help him in the development process.
When an organization relies on a leader, it places it, it puts its future in his hand, so he must have the experience and the traits that qualify him to reach success because success does not come by chance, but comes through the influence that the leader has on the group.
Some Traits in a Successful Leader:
Self-skill intended to be that the leader has the
mental capabilities and high knowledge that helps him to innovate and assume
the responsibility assigned to him by the superiors, the ability to deeply
understand events and developments, belief in goals and that each goal can be
achieved if sufficient work is done for achieving a goal.
The skill where the leader should have the ability and
wisdom in decision-making, taking steps, planning and developing strategies
that help the team progress, he must also have the ability to face crises and solve
problems that the team faces and determine the time period for each of the
above.
Effective communication skills with the group he
leads, as it is important for the leader to have the ability to listen to the
group and their opinions and to convey his ideas to them.
The leader must have the ability to motivate their
team members and link them to the organization's policies, and convince the
team of his ideas, in addition to these ideas worth getting their support and
encouraging them to start thinking like him. Motivation and persuasion are two
important skills.
Defining goals, the leader must indicate where he is
leading his team and where this team will reach. Defining a plan of action for
the team in order to find ways to reach the goal and focus on it in order to
implement the vision on the ground.
A leader should make his team believe in him and his
abilities and what he is able to accomplish and that the team can rely on him
in directing them. Trust is one of the most important aspects that a good
leader should have.
The freedom of thinking, a leader must respect the
ideas of his team members. He must also encourage the team for creative
thinking that will raise and bring more creativity and development ideas and
adopt these ideas in order to be applied in the leader's plans.
Create a good relationship between the team members,
the leader should create communication between the members of the team he leads
because a good relationship brings back to the team vitality and high
performance, and maintaining this good relationship will give the team more
effectiveness, ideas and innovations.
Emotional Intelligence Leader should not focus on
production only in the tasks of the team, but rather he should sympathize with
the team, and gives them the opportunity to get comfort and reassurance and
highlight the interest in individuals and not only focus on production and work.
Humans are not born with knowledge of everything.
Continuous training, development, and self-education bring success. The leader
also acquires the skills and abilities that put him in the place of leadership.
