I Have My Full Freedom While Creating Content - Tanha Islam

I often do research about new food items and cuisines to enrich myself. Trying out new food items in restaurants is also one of my favourite things! The blogging life is very much fun!

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am from CSE background, North South University, Dhaka. I am always a fan of trying out new restaurants and cuisines. I used to preach and post food photos since 2014-2015 and have started proper food blogging around 2018. Since then, there is no going back!

I post regularly if I get free time off my work or social life. I am very serious about my blogging. I often do research about new food items and cuisines to enrich myself. Trying out new food items in restaurants is also one of my favourite things! The blogging life is very much fun!

2. What led you to do food blogging?

I have started posting about food with good filters as I was always into photography with my mobile phone. People used to knock me about restaurants/food items suggestions seeing my photos on my socials.

I thought, why don't I start a completely different Insta account adding a little bit of information to my posts which helps everyone? That's when it all started! Now I get at least 20 direct messages a day with food or restaurant queries.

People also take suggestions about new places or what places are best for their preferred occasions! It's always good to help people!

3. What does your typical day look like?

I wake up early and check all socials, I go to the office, I work and come back home. I prepare my posts and images while I commute. In such a way I can utilize my time properly.

I tend to post them whenever I get free time, maybe during lunch hour or after my work when I am back home. During weekends I mostly draft my posts or work on new recipes at home.

I love to try out new recipes tweaked from online. I also do some photoshoots at the home of the items I prepare. I love to watch Netflix at night.

4. When did you first decide that you wanted to create and write content about food i.e. for blogging?

Like I have mentioned before, I always had a passion for food and writing contents. Back in 2018, we had a food bloggers meet up in Dhaka. Since then I have been more serious about my passion for writing about food on my blog @foodieshe
Since then I am getting a very good response from my readers and brands.

Currently, I am working with a couple of local and international brands, not limited to food! It's so much fun learning new things everyday while working with something which has always been my passion! I have my full freedom while creating contents!

5. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

There is such no particular dish I can associate myself with as it will be an injustice to all the food items I love! I have too many choices to select from! I mostly love gourmet burgers, Thai & Arabic cuisine.

I am also a big fan of Boba Milk tea. Not very much into desserts but I do love Cheesecake and brownies. There are so many new dishes and cuisines to try!

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Unfortunately, I don't get time to read books being a full time at office and part-time as a blogger! It's actually very tough to manage both together!
