To be honest, I do it purely out passion. Passion to write, passion towards life in general. Having said that, I can clearly assure you that social media marketing is definitely going to stay and yes if you love your job and do it with full conviction, you will get there!

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Haneeya means Happiness. Just as my name, I am a happy and very easy- to- be- with kind of person. The first child to my lovely parents, eldest sister to 3 talented siblings!

Wife to the man who pushes me to bring the best in me! Touchwood! Mommy of 2 little boys! Born in Kerala, brought up in Abu Dhabi, I have lived a major part of my life here in Abu Dhabi, and so it is like a home away from home!

Though I always aspired to become a doctor, destiny had something else to offer. I love writing, painting, drawing, and everything related to art. Though I am an MBA in Finance person, in real am an all art, love, and natural person. I work as a freelancer here in Abu Dhabi for an educational institution.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

I have always loved writing and am very passionate about it. I would scribble and make notes of every little thing of my life. My jotters are filled with memories that I have scribbled down, to make moments embraced and cherished.

I actively took part in all literature activities as a child and continued it throughout my life. Getting articles published in regional school and college magazines was an accomplishment at that phase.

After I moved to Kuwait, post-wedding, I started working with an Ad and Media Firm. That is when content writing started. I absolutely enjoyed my work and it was from there I started writing columns and articles for Magazines.

My first article was published in Bazaar Magazine, Kuwait. Since then I have been writing and that is how I ended up blogging.

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

To be honest, I do it purely out passion. Passion to write, passion towards life in general. Having said that, I can clearly assure you that social media marketing is definitely going to stay and yes if you love your job and do it with full conviction, you will get there!

Vlogging is actually fun too! Talking and being there in front of the camera, showing, and sharing your experiences feel more dynamic!

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favorite creator for sure is God! Nobody has or can create anything exceptional than HIM. And it is HIS creations that’s always been inspiring me.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

It can be anything. A star in the sky, the dewdrops on grass or simply a stranger who smiles at you. Most of the time, writing just happens. It is never a pre-prepared action. I just go with the flow. I love pen and paper!

6. What does your typical day look like?

I wake up every morning wanting to do a million things! I want to draw, paint, cook or simply go for a drive. I ensure I engage myself in some form of art. Some days I will be on a spree of sketching and drawing, other days cooking, yet other days reading!

I ensure I do at least one thing for myself each day even though I devote my entire time for my family. Probably once my little boys grow up, I will do a million things that I want to!

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

There can never be one favorite book! There are a lot of them. But of late, The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak made me fall so much in love with it. Probably because of the love for Rumi. I can be dreamy!

Before that it was Eat Pray Love – and these books actually gave birth to my blog WalkEatDream! All-time favorites would be Little Women and Anne of Green Gables! I enjoy reading Enid Blyton to my kids! Also, A Thousand Splendid Sun, Daddy, Brida…the list can go on!

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Am no one to advise seriously. But one thing I can tell – Be an inspiration! Do everything you do passionately. Be true to yourself. Be Real! Do not judge anyone, be kinder than necessary.

Love this life, it is a gift! Write about life’s lessons. Read and travel a lot! The world is filled with wonders. You are one! Inspire and aspire!
