Apple October 2020 Event in 5 Minutes

iPhone 12 Line up:

There are a lot more iPhones than there used to be these days. Picking a phone used to be simple: Apple would offer just a single new iPhone model, where all you had to do was choose a color and storage size. This year, Apple has launched four new phones: the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max, which join the already available iPhone SE that was released earlier this year for a total of five new phones in 2020. It’s the most iPhone models that Apple has ever released in a single year.

Fresh additions:

1. Ceramic Shield:

iPhone already had the toughest glass on a smartphone. So, to dramatically increase the durability of the iPhone 12, we had to introduce an all-new material. Enter Ceramic Shield. It’s made by introducing nano-ceramic crystals — which are actually harder than most metals — into the glass. It’s a first in any smartphone, and it’s tougher than any smartphone glass.

2.  A14 Bionic Processor: What is bionic?

A14 Bionic is the fastest chip in a smartphone. And it pushes what’s possible. Like crunching trillions of operations on the Neural Engine. Or shooting in Dolby Vision — even pro movie cameras can’t do that. It’s super-efficient for great battery life. And it’s ahead of its time, prepared to power pretty much anything that comes next.

3. OLED Display:

Unlike LCDs that use a backlight to illuminate all the pixels at once, OLED pixels each emit their own light. They can be completely turned off to produce true blacks, or light up all the way to 1,200 units for HDR content. That’s how you get a 20,00,000:1 contrast ratio. The difference is dramatic. OLED displays have been one of the most awaited features on the iPhone, and it is finally here.

The Lineup:

iPhone 12 mini:

The iPhone 12 mini, has a 5.4-inch screen that seems like it will be easy to use one-handed.

iPhone 12:

The new iPhone 12 features a 6.1-inch display size with a notch at the top of the display. It seems to be the same size notch that we've seen on recent iPhone products.

iPhone 12 Pro:

The new iPhone 12 Pro features a 6.1-inch display size with a notch at the top of the display. The Pro model is equipped with the best camera tech.

iPhone 12 Pro max:

The new iPhone 12 Pro features a 6.7-inch display size with a notch at the top of the display. And it is the most feature-loaded phone available.

HomePod Mini:

“HomePod mini is designed to fit anywhere in the house.” It’s spherical and comes wrapped in a mesh fabric. The fabric doesn’t disrupt the sound produced.

Like all Apple Products, HomePod mini works effortlessly with Apple devices. Picking up incoming calls or listening to music will be integrated into Homepod mini’s fabric. Even If you have to head out, you can continue to listen on your iPhone without missing a beat.

HomePod mini spins around Siri, and “Whether you need a hand with a wide variety of everyday tasks, want easy control over your smart home accessories or simply want to hear your favorite song — just ask Siri.”  It’s as easy as that!

At just over 8 centimeters tall, it takes up almost no space but fills the entire room with rich 360-degree audio that sounds amazing from every angle with the help of “Boundary-pushing computational audio”.

MagSafe Cases:

MagSafe is a proprietary, magnetically-attached wireless power transfer technology introduced by Apple Inc. on October 13, 2020, in conjunction with the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro series. It provides up to 15 W of power and is backward-compatible with the open Qi standard for up to 7.5 W of power. The connector also enables connecting non-charger accessories such as cardholders and cases with communication through an integrated NFC loop. Two chargers were announced: MagSafe, a single charging pad for iPhone and MagSafe Duo, a double charging mat for an iPhone, and Apple Watch.
