1. Tell us more about your company and your journey.

And Also is a premium fashion accessories brand that aims to create experimental accents for the dynamic, millennial woman. My journey to start this label began when I was completing my fashion masters in Florence, Italy. I was taken by excellent quality, beautifully designed and eccentric products. This exposure solidified my mindset to create a unique brand of my own.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

I have always had an inclination to fashion accessories because I feel they can truly make or break an outfit. When I decided I wanted to start a fashion label, there were no doubts about the category of products I wanted to explore. My first product, body belts, were a reflection of my idea behind the brand identity, experimental yet classic. After a long process of ideation, designing, branding, prototyping and sampling, I finally launched And Also in October 2019.

3. What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

Any new business faces big challenges everyday. I think for any of us, the biggest challenge has been the pandemic. I dealt with it by focusing on building a community rather than pushing sales. I also worked on two completely new collections that are launching very soon!

4. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

I think the most important quality for any entrepreneur is organization. To organize everything from documents, your time and your thoughts can really take you places.

5. What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business?

According to me, for a successful business, a great team is really important. It’s very important to build a loyal, dynamic and passionate team.

6. What are your tips for first time and aspiring entrepreneurs?

Don’t get too attached to a particular idea or concept. It’s very important for it to be the right place and the right time.
