1. Tell us about your background and journey.
My name is Sahim Ahmed, I am born in France but my parents are from Bangladesh. I studied computer science and finished my master's degree. It was very different from photography.
During my studies, I liked the art in general and practiced it in various forms every single day, whether it’s music or photography. It was always just for fun. Photography took a bigger space in my life when I joined social media in June 2018, especially Instagram.
It opened many opportunities and I met a lot of creatives via this platform.
2. How and when did you realize your passion for photography?
I think when I was 14 when I had my first smartphone, I could not resist taking pictures with it. It was fascinating.
3. What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?
Keep practicing and crafting your style and work. Meet people in the industry and make contact via social media platforms. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals that will support your work and passion.

Content creation is more than ever needed, whether for small brands or big brands it’s needed so it can be a good lead to contact agencies out there looking for content creation on a daily basis.
There are also photographer agencies that are harder to get into but that can really be a step up to your career.
6. What has been the biggest learning from your experience?
From my experience, I learned that when beginning photography, you have to do concessions to take any jobs possible, or even work for free sometimes which can lead to long term paid collaborations with brands

I’m more of a visual guy, so I read comics and mangas :)
