1.How did you decide to make your passion your career? Was your family supportive?

My PE teacher Mrs Anagha Warlikar asked me to try out playing fencing, I started playing and I played nationally because she believed that I am made for sports. When I started training myself for national I started falling in love with fencing. 

After playing two national, in the third national, I finally decided to make a career in this sport. 

My family have always been supportive. My coach and my friends also believed in me that I can do something in this field.


2. Who is your favourite player and what have you learnt from him/her?

Yuki Ota Japanese fencing player is my inspiration. He plays foil as well as me. I have learnt many things from him his videos helps me lot in improving my skills. As he is an inspiration for many sportspeople.


3. What is the level of commitment and time required to make a sport a career?

Non-breakable commitment. It should be your first and last thought. Giving time to sports it's really important you have to give 70 to 80% of your time to your practice and other physical and mental health workouts.


4. How can we encourage more youngsters to take up sports as a full-time profession?

Watch the sports channel and be focused on which Field you want to be interested in, and practice as much as you can. Talk about sports. Encourage yourself to take part in different sports and always be supportive.

5. Which is your favourite book and why?

I don't read books. So I have no answer to this question.
