Tell
us about your background and journey.
Hi, as you already know my name is Iysha Pathak. I am from
Faridabad/NCR. I have completed my bachelor's degree from DU post which I
pursued my MBA from IBS Gurgaon in Marketing. I am currently working as a
Marketing professional in the advertising Industry.
When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you
start?
I have always been fond of Travel and Photography. During my college
years in the Delhi University, I participated in many contests and events
related to Fashion and Travel. After completing my post-graduation, I started
my own YouTube channel and started creating content on trending topics and
DIY's videos on both the platforms i.e. Instagram and YouTube.
Is
vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?
I will be very honest with you, I have just started creating my content.
So being a new content creator, I feel that the millennial generation to
complete their education and take adequate exposure before coming into this
industry as it requires a lot of patience. Due to very high competition,
there will be times surely when you start doubting your self-worth and talent.
However, nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and your work which
in turn will let you be financially independent.
How
and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
Like I said, Aakriti Rana is my inspiration. I have been following her
for the last 5-6 years. She has changed a lot as a person from all the good
and bad experiences. I do what I want to do irrespective of all the judgments
and comparisons. As long as you are happy doing what you love, nothing else
matters.
Who
is your favorite creator and why?
I personally look up to Aakriti Rana. Her content is very genuine and
real, unlike other content creators. She does justice to all her videos and
inspires us all with her amazing work on a daily basis. I have not seen any
other content creator putting in all her efforts the way she does. Well, she is
awesome!
What
does your typical day look like?
Nothing just works and some workout. I work for a good 7 hours daily. I
make it a point to work out for about 30 minutes to keep fit. Then there's
always Me time, Netflix and Chill
What
piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?
Nothing is impossible. If you are passionate about what you are doing,
nothing and no one can stop you. There will be times when you feel nothing is going your way. But trust me, that would be the best time. As
you will learn so many new things in that phase and it will help you in one or
the other way in life. Just be consistent, Don't just run after the best
version of your self created future and put all your efforts in whatever you
are creating. Don't run after numbers initially, It will come to you at the
right point of time. More than anything, love yourself and love your work!
