Anjali - It Is a Difficult Career Path and Income Comes at a Very Later Stage (Food Blogger)

Anjal

It is a difficult career path and income comes at a very later stage, but if you are passionate I would say go for it. Because, when your passion becomes your career, there is no greater happiness.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I started food blogging on july 27th, 2020.

After 12th, I wanted to take up culinary arts, but wasn’t clear enough as to its scope.

With a lot of confusion went with the mainstream engineering. Finished my engineering in 2020 and took up the title of a software developer. However, in July I just realised that if I don’t do something about my passion for food and cooking, I never will.

Thus, led to the birth of my Instagram page @sooosaute.

2. Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?

My favourite cuisine has to be Chinese. It takes simple ingredients and elevates them with the style and way of cooking.

And my favourite dish from Chinese has to be Sesame garlic noodles. You have them once, you’ll go back again and again.

3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

Food blogging is a career path. It is a difficult career path and income comes at a very later stage, but if you are passionate I would say go for it. Because, when your passion becomes your career, there is no greater happiness.

 4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?

I’ve started my blogging journey in Bangalore so I’ll name a few restaurants I really love here.

For Korean food, I really love Dofu, Indira Nagar. They’re Korean dishes are just lip smacking.

If you’re looking for really good chicken wings you should try out Buffalo Wild Wings. They have so many sauces to choose from, it’s exciting.

And one more would be community, Church street. I love the ambience and the food as well.

These are my go to restaurants here.

5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

As a food blogger, I can put up pictures of food only if it’s aesthetically appealing. But coming to me appreciating a dish, it mainly depends on the taste. I believe as long as the food tastes good, it deserves the attention of all the foodies.

6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

I think I can associate myself most with pani puri. The reason being, It reminds me of my childhood, when I used to have 4 plates of pani puri literally every other day, being carefree. It was just pure bliss and happiness.

Since I started my blog, that’s what my life has been, pure bliss and happiness.
