Food blogging is an excellent career for one to pursue and yes it guarantees a lot of money provided you are consistent and real about your personal experiences.


1. Tell us about your background and journey.


Hello, my name is Shivani Chauhan. I am from a small city Lucknow. And I am a BCA final year student. I've been blogging about my food experiences for a long time now. This skill of mine is met by my mother. She is a create cook. Whether it is Indian, South-Indian, Chinese or any other cuisine, my mother cooks it amazingly well.


Lucknow, which is famously known as the City of Nawabs! There are multiple street food corners and amazing restaurants around the city. I started blogging because of my interest in food. So when I started this food journey, I had no knowledge about the blog.


I saw a lot of food bloggers and learned how this can be achieved. Today I am an admin of an amazing food blog where is share my personal experiences about different dishes and cuisines in my city Lucknow. I also have a YouTube Chanel regarding the same.



2. Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?


My favourite food is Leeti Chokha. By the way, I live in Lucknow but I am from Bihar. And the food of that is litti chokha, dal, thekua, kheer and aachar papad, which is a complete Bihari thali, has all kinds of taste spicy, sweet and sour. Just one word is written, eat and say it's Yummy.



3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?


Blogging demands writing skills and discipline. One should also have the ability to change according to customer's need and never ever try blackhat tactics. I have seen many people who have made their career through blogs, I get the inspiration by seeing their work, if my blogging work goes well in the near future, then I will give all my time to my blog.


Food blogging is an excellent career for one to pursue and yes it guarantees a lot of money provided you are consistent and real about your personal experiences.


I think if content is perfect in blogging and if our work is good then we can get better response and we can accept it as a career.

5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?


When it comes to the review, we see the presentation, the taste of the food and then how cleanly it was being made, we see the price. Overall seeing and understanding these things, after then we give a review.



6. Is there any dish that you specifically associate with yourself?


By the way, I also love cooking. But if there is biryani, then I can break my fast as well. I am happy to see food. Whatever my mood, I get refreshed by seeing Biryani. My face smiles when I see biryani.



7. Which is your favourite book and why?


By the way, I love reading books. I always have a book and a diary. Whenever I get time, I read books. I am a student of computer science. So I like to get the books of technologies. Also I like to read Story, Poem, novels. I love Munshi Premchandra's book, his novel 'Godaan' is my favourite book. Together i love the magic world that's why Harry Potter is my also favourite book.
