Trump's "Time...to Go"? - Fact Check

A graphic of the cover page of a famous American magazine was being shared widely and it got viral in a day. In the cover picture, a man can be seen walking out of the door. And it was claimed that the person was none other than US president Mr. Donald Trump. It was printed with the heading “Time to go”.

This graphic was tweeted by American Actor Daniel Newman on 14th May 2020, who later deleted the tweet. It got viral in a day. Many journalists thought this was the original TIME cover. On 25th May, Shobhaa De (an Indian journalist) also tweeted this alleged cover.

Ravish Kumar, the well-known journalist also shared this image but later took it down. Several users also shared these graphics on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with different captions.

People claimed that this Time cover graphic was originally featuring Donald Trump with the message “TIME…. To go”. When the official TIME magazine came, the viral graphics and official graphics were very different in terms of layout and many things.

After this, TIME Magazine spokesperson also confirmed the cover in the tweet is not an authentic one. Click on the next hyperlink to see all original 29 covers in which Mr. Trump had appeared - This video shows actual cover pages in which trump had appeared.
