About the Book

You’re the password to my life is a book based on a true story of Sudeep cousin's life. This book is all about friendship and love and it makes you believe in it. ‘We all have that one person in our lives in whose absence our life seems meaningless’. The prologue of the book covers the entire title of the book ‘You’re the password to my life’. It is a true story that shows us that friendship is the only ‘ship’ that does not sink.

It is a story about friendship, love, trust and affection. It is the tale of two friends. The story is set in Pune where two friends meet in their college days and become best friends. They are a password  to each other's lives. They are of two different choices but still they have a very strong bond between themselves.

They set an example that a girl and a boy can be best friends. Everything was going good in Virat and Kavya’s life then Virat fell in love with Mehak. But, Mehak couldn’t change the strong bond between Virat and Kavya. On the other side, another love story begins between Riddhima and Rohan. An unprecedented incident happens with Kavya that changes her entire life.

But, also in that situation Virat and his family were still there to give support and strength. And finally Kavya overcomes that tragedy of her life. The book also features some social issues like HIV patients and the care they need. Enter into the world of Virat and Kavya; value your relationships, and stand for each other.

Enjoy every moment of life like Virat and Mehak did. Never miss a chance to express your love or any other emotion for that matter. Never discourage yourself, feel blessed in each other's company like Rohan and Riddhima. They all are a password to each other's lives.

Themes Involved

  1. Love - The concept of love written in the book is shown to be very decent, childish, yet with a completely mature perception towards future goals. All the lovers and couples written in the book are an inspiration for this generation where casual dating is as normal as hanging out with friends.

  1. Friendship - Not only among the college friends, the friendship bond between the cousins, Virat and Rohan is also as adoring. The book also set up the perfect example with Virat and Kavya that a boy and a girl could be only best friends too and no external factors could break that bond when it's so clearly balanced between the two. Like, Mehak’s presence also couldn’t break a single thread of Virat and Kavya’s bond.

  1. Trust - The trust shared among the whole group of people involved in the book is adorable and something to look upon. They are genuinely each other’s password of life.

The Bottom Line

This book is one of my favorites among fiction. The bond of friendship that Kavya and Virat share is most valuable and priceless. They set a norm that a boy and a girl could be thick friends. We all are fixed by the point that a boy and a girl can only be lovers, but it doesn’t seem so here. And in real life it can also be true.

The language of this book is very lucid and everyone can read this with immense understanding. Happy reading everyone!

My Ratings for the book - 3.5 on 5
