In a world that is ruled mainly by men entrepreneurs and CEO, women are making history also by creating successful worldwide applications like the most known female entrepreneur who found the first female dating application, Whitney Wolfe Herd. The story was about garbing chances and opportunities to go ahead in the making of her own success history. However, it is important to know what is Bumble and who is Whitney Wolfe Herd to get inspired by her story. 

Who is the Owner of Bumble?

Winfrey Wolfe Herd the founder of Bumble is the youngest American entrepreneur who had made a fortune out of her first female application of dating Bumble- she was earlier an executive at Tinder- which was strongly launched in 2014. herd was born on the first of July, 1989 in Salt Lake, Utah. Her parents are Michael Wolfe who is a developer and her mother Kelly Wolfe; she studied at Judge Memorial Catholic High School and moved to Paris when she was in fourth grade. 


When she was back in the U.S.A, she attended Southern Methodist University; she managed to be among the topmost students in International Studies. She made her own small business in college selling bamboo tote bags to help a group of people where many celebrities helped her with. She managed to partner a celebrity Stylist called Patrick Aufdenkamp in a campaign called “ Help Us Project” and another project called “ Tender Heart” that is based on clothing making concept dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking. 


How Bumble has Started to be Existing by Herd? 

When Herd just came back from a trip in Asia, she joined an incubator called Hatch Labs where she was part of a startup called Cardify. This startup has failed, but the incubator had other projects like Tinder where she joined with its two founders Rad and Chris, and the development team in 2012. She took a high position in Marketing the application, it was presumed that she is the one who named it. 

She established a high base for Tinder which she contributed in its huge success in the USA. After two years of hard work and dedication with the application, it is said she had a huge argument with one of Tinder executives what led her to quit her job o have one million dollars as revenue from leaving the company. This engaged her to create her won application dating app, but this time she decided to go out of the norms and make a female dating app where any woman can take the initiative to text any male she likes in the app. She created later an app called Bumble Mag. It is said that her net worth is estimated at 575 million dollars. 


Herd's Most Listed Achievements 

  1. At the age of 31, she is a CEO and a founder of Bumble which put her the youngest female billionaire who made her career by herself.

  2.  She was listed with the most influential women in Tech under 30 in 2014.

  3.  She took in 2016 the name of Elle's Women in Tech.

  4.  she was mentioned in Forbes under 30 twice in 2017 and 2018 

  5. The naming of TechCrunch feature on 42 women succeeding in tech, 2017.

  6.  Tinder and Bumble were the first and second most popular dating apps in the U.S In 2019 with huge revenues.  

  7. In April 2019, Wolfe released the first print issue of Bumble Mag in partnership with Hearst.

It is actually said that among the reasons she left Tinder was because of her male partner’s treatment of her as an invalid woman, but she gained her confidence to perform even better and compete all along Tinder to be the two most used dating apps in the USA.
