Tell us about your background and journey.

My motoring journey started when I was 8 years old when my father taught me how to ride motorcycles. Ever since all I was ever interested in was motorbikes and cars.

What led you to start your page on Instagram?

I simply wanted to share my motoring world with bikers and motorheads, one related to lifestyle rather than being too technical, as I wanted women to find this world appealing to them and ultimately inspire them to be part of this male-dominated world.

What are the three most important skills you would bring to this position?

As a track-certified biker, I have skills in riding techniques on the track.

Having been on bikes for almost all my life, I have extensive experience in riding on roads (for those not interested in tracks).

Having worked in the motoring field for more than 11 years, my know-how and connections provide people with answers to all their inquiries.

What were some of the challenges you faced as a woman in pursuing bike riding as your profession?

It is not 100% a profession, unfortunately—oh how I wish it was! I hold an MBA and work mostly in administrative jobs in parallel to TV Hosting.

Honestly, I wouldn’t say it was challenging; but rather a bit bumpy. The fact that I started riding at such an early age doesn’t make me “new” to this world. I started riding when I was 8; I’m 40 now.

Over the years, I have come to realize that there are 3 types of male reactions to women in the motoring field:

1. I’m sure she doesn’t know anything kinda guy.

2. The kinda guy that acknowledges but is too intimated to admit.

3. And the guy that is just thrilled and vocalizes his opinion with statements such as: “wow, respect”…or “you’re an inspiration”…

Is it financially sustainable to be a blogger today?

I do not rely on my blog for income, that is for sure. It does give me work opportunities, be it for ads or campaigns, yearly contracts with motoring brands, all the way to TV shows. But my administrative job still remains my primary source of income.

What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

To continuously be a better version of myself…i.e., getting better and better…constant improvement.

Do you have any tips for people who want to join this field?

  • Learn a skill

  • Master it

  • Impose yourself

  • Fight for what you want

  • Never give up

  • Grab on opportunities

  • Crave learning and improving

  • Be the best at what you do

  • Always have a backup plan to keep you on your feet financially

Social media platforms are very difficult to monetize, TV shows come and go. But your skills won’t and neither will your well-earned reputation. Never ever stop believing in yourself.
