Introduction

Book’s Name - Someone Like You

Author’s Name - Durjoy Datta and Nikita Singh

Genre - Fiction and Romance

Language - English

Synopsis - Spoiler Alert!

This story is about an introverted girl Niharika. She has self-doubt about herself that she is not good enough in terms of beauty so she didn't get attention. She's the plain young lady with no enthusiasm to dress appealingly or date, she's more into her studies.

You could say she's a misrepresented form of a first-bencher, with those thick glasses and anxious to satisfy individuals' hopes. She's had her heart broken early, and isn't hoping to rehash that experience and its repercussions.

She moves into a top school away from her old neighborhood, is called to Delhi by her sister (who's that ideal young lady, as per her) and she returns a changed individual. She loses the glasses, starts to wear appealing dresses than old ‘spoiled pants’ and well, changes into a young lady.

The once non-shopping young lady at that point almost gets into a mishap when she comes out from shopping (bizarre, isn't it?) and sort of becomes hopelessly enamored with the person who almost hit her. She starts having confidence seeing someone again when presto, she discovers their fellow has a previous that makes it individual for her. So unloading him quickly, she takes off to school.

From that point onward, it resembles a school story. She tracks down a dearest companion Tanmay, who safeguards her against the school senior "domineering jerk". He's that thoughtful person type like her as well, and when she finds that Pia, her roommate is a rich, sort of ruined whelp, she attempts to set both of them up.

At the point when they appear to hop into inconvenience, a senior appears to act the hero. In the meantime, the former beau Akshat attempts to win her back, and she winds up pulled in a manner to the senior person. It resembles an exciting ride of her connections. In the middle, a misfortune is tossed in that we sort of start to expect too.

About the book

This book doesn't have a shiny cover and messy joke on the book cover yet the novel is much better than their prior work. I'm an aficionado of Durjoy from his absolute first book (and love Deb and Avantika) and I should say, I have seen loads of ad-lib in his composing whether it's about character portrayal or narrating or contort and turns. Nikita Singh and Durjoy Datta gave new stature to their composing expertise.

Somebody Like You is the narrative of Niharika Singh. She didn't exist for young men whom each young lady needs consideration. At that point, her sister Simran does an entire makeover which encourages Niharika to understand that she is just about as wonderful as each other young lady.

Her life is encircled by 4 individuals- Pia, Tanmay, Karthik, and Akshat.

Pia- her roommate and closest companion on school grounds. Creators made Pia's character stunning to such an extent that anybody can succumb to her charm.

Akshat- who watches great and ends up being her sister's ex.

Tanmay- who is her dearest companion and sooner or later, Pia and Tanmay succumb to one another

Karthik- A baffling folks and she pulverize/love

Creators portrayed all characters so incredibly that you begin falling head over heels in love for them.

Personal Verdict

I adored the characters of Niharika, Pia, and Karthik. The most amazing aspect of this book is the climax(Do not miss it). It's not a basic love adventure, it's about family, love, and treachery. Go, Get it, and understand it.

The Bottom Line

We most importantly learn to self love which most people lack today. They tend to find materialistic things or people's words to clear their doubt but it's not really required .

This book shows how friendship, love & relationships are important. How they are not only about looks or such but it's more than that the feeling to be with them. This book teaches us many life lessons too like  not to fall for fake people .

My rating for this book is - 4 out of 5
