How the Cruel Rat Race Is Effecting Indian Society?

What would be your life if you are not an IITian? How could you survive in the society if you are not a doctor? How can you attend a social gathering if you don’t earn more than your neighbour? How can a child go to the playground if he scores less than others?

All these questions give the verisimilitude of Indian Society. The major victims of rat race in India society are the students. Schooling is the most memorable and impressionable time in the life of any person. It’s a period of jubilation, curiosity, healthy thought processes and all about being spritely.

Effects Of the Rat Race On Adolescence and Education

Adolescence is a time when you have to enjoy life in its full swing. It’s a time to marvel in life. Its time when you are packed with energy. You contemplate your interests.

The football and cricket grounds stick around you. The merriest and indigenous music soothes you. But due to this competition you always strive to be better than others and not yourself. We will not be able to live in the moment and always be concerned about future, which is unpredictable.

The grim reality is that the Indian Education has turned into mere feeding of textbooks. The youth who are supposed to be the future of the country are made to endeavour for hundred percentiles.

Joining extra classes for preparing for prestigious institutions and by this their world will shrinks into just books and lectures. We live in a society where people say you should be an engineer and for that you should sleep, breath and eat IIT.

There are family who fill the kid’s minds saying that they should never think of something other than being a doctor. The respect and notoriety that you get by studying in a prestigious institute is always tremendous but only limited people can actually make it into.

During the rat race to astound the society they obliterate their real talents. Parents and education system is playing a vital role to vandalize the interest of youth. We can see many suicides and a manifold of depression among students. They themselves consider them as nugatory.

The number of drop outs from colleges is also noticeable. The life is affected in many ways, the power packed energy and enthusiasm will decrease, the stress and tensions will lead to complicated health issues.

The Highly Noticeable Rat Race in the Corporate Jungle

The rat race can also be seen among employees. People always thrive to be better than others. The rewards and recognition, if not in the desired manner, shatters people. The consequences of it will be absenteeism, turnover and an abysmal work life balance. The hard work and time invested for years will squander. The rat race is making people get envious and jealous of others progress.

The Conclusion

Indians are always concerned about the scores in exam. When will you comprehend that there is a life out of these scores? The rat race in India can come to end when there are teachers who realize that a sheet of paper does not determine the talent of students; when there are parents who realize that their children have their own viability; when there are individuals who believe they themselves are their benchmarks. It’s time to cease this never-ending pointless race.

All individuals should discern that learning is incessant and always should sharpen the skills you have been blessed with. This fiercely competition for wealth and power will smash you in the end. The social life is the cost that we have to give for this race.
