12 Websites I Wish I Had Known as a Student




As students, regardless of which stream we are in, it is a necessity that we have a couple of tricks up our sleeves to survive in the technical world. Being a computer major student, I was often saved by these websites or online sources on many occasions.

Here are a bunch of websites that I have picked that will make your life much easier.

pdfescape:

Do you want to edit a pdf? Well, if that is the case then this is the website for you. pdfescape lets you edit a pdf document

mathway:

It is a great website for students, it solves algebra, calculus, and even chemistry problems. So the next time you don't understand or cannot solve a problem, you know where to go.

archive.org/web:

Want to find that old websites you used to use? say no more. This website lets you find the archived versions of websites from years ago.

Additionally, you can also find a lot of other good stuff like books, documentaries, etc.

Numbeo:

Considering moving across a country or even across the world? Then this website is for you!. Numbeo lets you find out just how much you are losing on rent, compare the cost of living and so much more each month in this handy site. Check it out!

zamzar:

Want to convert a file to any other file format? slide right to this site.

zamzar is an open online audio, video, image, including an ebook converter. It supports over 1200 different conversions without the necessity to download any external software.

Student.com:

Are you an international student and looking for affordable accommodations? if so, then you have got to check this out.

Student.com lets you find inexpensive accommodations no matter which location you're in.

Brainly:

This is one of my favorite websites. I've used this website numerous times and it greatly benefitted me. If you are a student, then Brainly is a site you must check out. There will be times when you can't easily get the answers that you need, brainly is the site that you must visit. This is a site that anyone can post a question you want to know or answer a question you are aware of. You can all the answers here regardless of the domain.

There's no end to how many times this website has saved me.

Want to create a flowchart? or perhaps create your resume?

This is a site that lets you create flowcharts, presentations, animation (for splash screen, etc..), process flows for your website or an application, create a formative resume with hundreds of templates and so much more for free!.

cleanpng.com:


This website provides hundreds if not thousands of free high-definition images without a background. This is an amazing website if you want an image for your website or an application. This works very smoothly with JSP, Visual Studio, and Android Studio.

remove.bg:

Don't like the background of a picture and want to remove it? then this is the go-to website for you. remove.bg lets you remove the background from any photograph without firing up the photoshop.

Fontstruct.com:

I have used this resource plenty of times to create a font or logo for my websites or android applications, and let me tell you that this site gets your work done faster and ridiculously easier. font struct is a website that enables you to create custom fonts and construct simple shapes and plenty cooler stuff for free.

sparknotes.com:

Have a test coming up and you have no idea about the concepts?

Sparknotes is a website that gives you a basic study guide for upcoming tests on that book, or if you don't get what the chapter is about, you can go on to SparkNotes and it will give an explanation in a simpler form.
