Synopsis - Spoiler Alert!
Hattie Shaw and her MI6 team attempt to recover a programmable supervirus known as "Snowflake" from the techno-terrorist group Eteon in London. Brixton Lore, an Eteon agent with cybernetic implants that allow him to perform superhuman feats, arrives and kills all the agents except Hattie, who injects the last dose of Snowflake into herself before fleeing.
Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw are both told of the missing virus and reluctantly enlisted to help track it down. Deckard goes to Hattie's apartment for information after a brief meeting at a CIA black site at Leadenhall Building, only to be assaulted by Eteon operatives, while Hobbs manages to locate Hattie; after a brief scuffle, he takes her to the CIA office, where Deckard arrives and tells Hobbs that Hattie is his sister.
Hobbs and Deckard track down and rescue Hattie, and during the ensuing car chase in a McLaren 720S, they manage to avoid Brixton, who crashes into a double-decker bus.
Professor Andreiko, who explains that he created Snowflake to efficiently deliver vaccines, informs the three that to prevent Eteon from using the supervirus to wipe out humanity, Hattie must either be cremated or have the virus removed with a specialized extraction device located in Eteon's special facility in Chernobyl, Ukraine, while the virus is still dormant.
The three infiltrate the facility after traveling undercover to Moscow and reuniting with Deckard's former flame Margarita.
Hobbs takes the group to his childhood home in Samoa to see his estranged brother Jonah, a gifted mechanic, for assistance in fixing the unit and to get some rest before confronting Brixton again.
Hobbs has a tense reunion with his family, but their mother finally persuades Jonah to assist them. The makeshift battalion sets up a variety of traps around the island in preparation for Eteon's arrival.
Just as Brixton and his army arrive, Jonah successfully repairs the system and begins the virus extraction. Brixton's soldiers are all defeated in the ensuing battle.
Brixton retakes Hattie by helicopter, but Hobbs, Deckard, and the Samoans shoot down the plane. Hobbs and Deckard team up to beat Brixton, who is then remotely dismissed by Eteon's never-seen director.
About the Movie
When they first met, Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) went toe-to-toe, but now the 'Fast and Furious' franchise fan favorites are forced to put their differences aside when they're up against a bigger, faster, and stronger threat.
Brixton (Idris Elba) is a rogue MI6 agent who has been bio-hacked with cyber-genetic technology and transformed into the self-proclaimed 'Black Superman.' Hobbs and Shaw must team up with Deckard's sister Hattie (Vanessa Kirby) to defeat this powerful adversary who now threatens humanity's survival.
The amusing banter keeps the momentum going when the action takes a break, thanks to the alpha vs alpha fight between Johnson and Statham. This is useful because the action is completely outrageous in the best possible way.
Each set-piece is a show-stopper in and of itself. Sure, the climax is insane, and you could tune out at that point, particularly if there's an unnecessary romantic angle thrown in.
The undeniable synergy between Johnson and Statham, on the other hand, propels the first two acts beautifully. Even though Brixton's intentions are suspect at best, adding Idris Elba to the mix is a smart choice because he's more than capable of holding his own as a bad guy.

Psychological Analysis
Whether you like them or not, the Fast & Furious movies have created several indelible trademarks that have helped them carve out their place in the action-movie landscape.
Surprisingly, Hobbs & Shaw avoids almost all of these tropes, including the signature street races and the melodramatic narrative style. Instead, the new film is more of an overt action-comedy, with Leitch attempting to strike a balance between laughs and battle scenes.
As a consequence, Hobbs & Shaw is a lighthearted, even cheeky entry in this high-octane franchise, complete with A-list comedy cameos and a few off-the-wall references to the stars' previous films.
Rocking Quotes from the movie
“In life, things happen. You may not want them to, but they do.”
“There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophies.”
“The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.”
The Bottom Line
This film has the perfect balance of action and suspense, as well as punchy dialogue that will make you laugh even harder. It contains feelings, comedy, action, and joy all at the same time, leaving you with no regrets about watching it.
