Introduction:

Around 30 centuries, ancient Egypt was the leading civilization in the Mediterranean region. Ancient Egypt is a civilization followed by prehistoric Egypt. The people in Egypt were united and accepted the rules of one king, Pharaoh. Their main source of living in the Nile River which is flowing along low reaches, only by this river their agriculture has been successful in their times.

As I said ancient Egypt is an overall period of this civilization, nearly the whole history. The first and foremost period of Egypt is the Early Dynastic which is known as the archaic period.

As it is one of the famous periods, let's talk about it in detail.

Archaic Period is known for the unification:

The archaic period or Early Dynastic Period is a dynastic period that is mainly known for the unification of Lower and Upper Egypt. During 3100-2649 BC Egypt was separated into two lands Upper and Lower Egypt.

Each land has its kingdom. In this kingdom Mostly people were indulged in agriculture and irrigation with the help of the Nile River.

If we see the map it is a bit confusing. A slower land is situated at the top and upper land situated at the bottom. This is because of the Nile River which flows from south to north. This river is also one of the rivers which flow to the north.

The First Pharaoh:

As we all know the early dynastic period is the first period, with the help of few records King of Upper Egypt Menes is the first monarch to unify the upper and lower lands. Menes is also known as Narmer. He founded the capital of Egypt near White Walls, on the north side near the Nile Delta River. He sent the army to defeat the king of Lower Egypt in Battle. In this way, King Menes unified both the lands.

Then he built the capital in Lower Egypt in the city of Memphis. During the Archaic period, Egyptians did a system of writing which we call Hieroglyphics is known as a sacred writing.
