1. How and when did you choose comedy as a career?

When I was struggling in corporate life, I had to switch careers. I was in Sales so becoming a comedian was very relatable also. Jokes apart, in 2016 I did my first professional show and then the Laughter challenge happened the next year. This is how it started.

2. What type of content do you enjoy producing the most and is the most challenging?

I try to do family content mostly, with tongue in the cheek kind of humour. It is very tough because there is a very thin line when tongue cheek humour can become offensive. So have to be very cautious.

3. Do you prefer digital as a medium or do you enjoy doing live gigs more and why?

I love doing live gigs because it's very instant and everything is happening at the moment. When people enjoy your live performance, it is the best feeling for every artist.

4. People, who are interested in taking up stand-up comedy as a profession, do they need a funny bone or they can develop one?

Every art form is either god gifted or natural but that doesn't mean you can't learn or develop it. With the right guidance and hard work, anyone can become a comedian or actor or anything they aspire to be.

5. How stable is being a stand-up comedian as a profession in India? And what is the future of this profession?

It's a good profession because there is a lot to explore in this area of expertise. And there age a lot of other avenues to explore. The future of most professions is uncertain because one-day people might choose to not laugh and be depressed. Jokes apart, I think comedy as a profession and art have just started. It will go a long way, like the USA

6. What impact do you want to make in this world?

Some impact, if not a major one. I want my work to stay, even when I am gone. And also want to make one positive change in the world, be it anything but it should be progressive.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

I loved Shiva Trilogy by Amish (because it was such an engaging story and beautifully written and it takes you into the world of fantasy) and Alchemist (because it opens your mind and takes you into a world of chasing your dreams)
