Prashanth Bionic - My Belief & Love Towards This Art Gave Me All The Confidence To Face Any Challenges Ahead (Photographer, India)

I felt too Low in my Life, but I never stopped working on photography at any times, also even when I feel sick. That's When I realised, yes! I can do this profession lifelong with so much passion

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I was born in Vellore, Tamilnadu. I did my schooling at Shrishti School - The place where I learnt how important extracurricular activities are! I studied B.e Robotics & Automation Engineering at PSG TECH, Coimbatore. At College, I was more enthusiastic about Dancing and did pretty well in my Academics too. I used to do dancing videos even during festival holidays keeping myself engaged to create some piece of work consistently.

I always considered the appreciation from the audience as my biggest Happiness. As a student, I gave my best in Academics and also tried various extracurricular activities to see which I did well. I was good at few and was bad at many, but I got to know that only by trying multiple things. I always believe education and discipline is the basis for whatever job we do in this world. Later I went on to work in a reputed IT Industry for a few years.

2. How and when did you realize your passion for photography?

I started learning Photography aside while I was working in the IT industry. Once I get done with my job work for the day, I stay awake till late hours to do some photography work and also wake up very early at times to go out and shoot. There are many occasions I felt too Low in my Life, but I never stopped working on photography at any times, also even when I feel sick. That's When I realised, yes! I can do this profession lifelong with so much passion. Though I didn't hold any degree related to it, My Belief and Love towards this art gave me all the confidence to face any challenges ahead.

3. What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?

Well, When I started I was excited about every little detail, every little thing about Photography. That's why I value every single thing about this art, the most! My one tip to current budding Photographers is you should value every effort that is needed to capture a moment rather than finding shortcuts to execute or replicate it. When you do that, you learn the actual process and when you follow the actual process - Irrespective of failure or success, you grow as a photographer!

4. What are the important skills one should have to be a successful photographer?

Consistency - Creating Quality work regularly in a consistent manner.
An eye for Perspective - Look moments genuinely through your eyes!
and Indeed Work Harder!

5. What are various opportunities available for aspiring photographers?

Well, I see we are evolving through the Digital world at present. Almost most of the population in the world get to see a 'photo' or a 'video' every single day, multiple times. That's the end product of what we photographers & cinematographers create. Opportunities are wider, at the same competition is way higher than before. Just because anyone can shoot images and videos these days, we as an artist should thrive to showcase something extra from the ordinary that exists!

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

I never read books - haha that's one bad thing about me! But I learn so much from the information out there on the internet, every day!

But to date my favourite books are:

Who Says You Can't? You Do: Book by Daniel Chidiac
The Power of your subconscious mind: Book by Joseph Murphy
