I was born in a family where both my parents were doctors and I was inclined to study medicine from an early age. Being brought up in psychiatry, it was but natural that I would take to psychiatry.
1. Tell us about your upbringing, background, and journey?
I have been privileged to be born to my parents who were both psychiatrists and they were instrumental in developing me and shaping me into the person that I am. I owe all that I am to them and their upbringing.
I studied medicine at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and went on to specialize in psychiatry at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. I am now over 2 decades in practice.
2. Why did you choose to be a doctor and decide what you specifically want to do?

3. We salute your work during the pandemic, where did you get the inspiration to work so hard?
As a doctor, my desire to serve people has always been there and that's what drives me to be at the forefront of serving others.
4. How do you expect digital health to grow over the next 5 years?
Digital health shall grow very fast and everything will get digital including medical care as people shall use digital interfaces more to interact with consultants and to access medical care.
5. What are your concerns about Digital Health?
The loss of data, data theft, and loss of confidential information stored online are my main concerns about digital health
6. What is your message for aspiring doctors and the young generation? Which is the best medical college according to you?
I cannot comment on the best medical college but I will advise young doctors to take up medicine to serve and learn and not just look at the monetary angle.
7. What does your typical day look like and what do you like to do besides work?
I have a 10-12 hour workday. I also read, see movies and listen to music
