Hello, I am Shradha and I am a makeup artist from Kolkata. Since my young days, I have always been excited about makeup and this passion of mine has helped me achieve my dream of becoming a professional Makeup artist. It wasn’t an easy journey but it was achievable.
I am blessed to have worked with famous TV actors and Bollywood’s top actors. Right now, I freelance as an instructor in a makeup artist institute, conduct online classes including a three months course for which the students get an advanced certificate.

The number one point of building clientele is to be able to understand what the client wants and to keep their requests as your priority.

As we all know without being humble and polite no doors will open. You also have to know how to choose your network of people, know people from the industry.
You have to help others in your industry get a gig so that they do the same for you. Be good to your regular clients and be open about everything, it will in itself increase your clientele.
What kind of job opportunities one can get after becoming a makeup artist?
Opportunities are aplenty, but you have to do the job of getting proper training first and listening to your client's wishes.

You can land yourself a job in modelling agencies, production houses, and you also get to work with top celebrities. Once you have gained your confidence you can even open up an institute and start your own business.
