A blogger can be an influencer too as they influence people through the work they do.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
Musically, it was the beginning of my adventure. When I was 14 years old, I began posting videos on Musically. Even though I make videos, I have always kept them private. I began to post videos in public when I was 16 years old. I used to have only about 36-40 viewers; for me, it was plenty, because tik tok was just for fun.
That was the point at which one of my videos went viral. Following that, I began to gain popularity and reach. People, companies and brands began approaching each other for collaboration. That's how I got started as a content creator.
2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
Soon after that, I started my public Instagram account. That's when one of my friends introduced me to blogging, Influencing & content creating. I wasn't quite sure whether I was up to that at that point.
But that was a turning point to a whole different world. I started by doing modelling and by posting styled outfit pictures.
I felt that more than pictures videos are more interactive and something I can have fun with. Soon after that, I started creating videos of fashion/ makeup/ drama/ entertainment etc.
I would say every video I created has its own emotion and touch. And I'm so proud of myself for making an effort and for taking this huge step.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Bloggers is mainly referred to as people who write blogs. But on Instagram blogger can be someone who writes/talks and reviews about things, places, products etc. Like travel blogger, food blogger etc. Whereas an Influencer is someone who influences people. It can be a Digital content creator/blogger/musician etc.
A blogger can be an influencer too as they influence people through the work they do.
4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Since 2019, the number of influencers has increased dramatically. Year after year, the number grows. Because Instagram is still not modernized, it will be difficult for content providers to stay afloat. As I'm not a full-time content creator, I'd argue that even if you're consistent, creative, and up to speed on everything, Instagram can only sustain you financially up to a certain point.
5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?
Relatability is my answer. When your followers can relate to what you post, trust is built, and trust is what drives consumer behaviour.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Have faith in yourself. When you are unable to believe in yourself or your job. No one else will be able to do it. So my slogan is to believe in yourself and your choices.
7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?
The key is consistency and creativity. It doesn't matter what you post if it isn't entertaining or consistent. Your audience's interest would wane.
