June Biswas - Help People To Discover New Places And Experiences And The Best Medium To Do So Is Via Social Media (Travel Blogger, India)

My dad was in the army so traveling has been a part of my life from the very start.

1. Tell us about your upbringing & journey.

My dad was in the army so traveling has been a part of my life from the very start. I've lived all over the country from Bareilly to Bangalore to Uttarakhand to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Gurgaon and more so it's been a very interesting experience. Moreover, my parents are extremely fond of traveling as well so I've traveled a lot with them as well.

2. When did you start travelling and how did you decide to start your Instagram page?

I probably started traveling on my own since I was in college and Goa used to be one of my frequent haunts. I started blogging around the same time but I joined Instagram much later as an extension of my blog. My Ig content was more focused of fashion for the longest time but I shifted my focus on travel, food and lifestyle for the past few years.

3. What are the best road trips have you ever came across?

Last year, I drove down from Gurgaon to Jaipur to Pushkar and back and that was one helluva road trip. I stayed in 8 amazing properties and had some fantastic experiences.

You can now book a Savaari in 2000+ cities and towns across 15 lakh routes in India. Avail the best services on your road trip with Savaari - expert driver, sanitized car and unmatched comfort.

4. How social media validation is important in your profession?

It's very important in my profession as my aim is to help people discover new places and experiences and the best medium to do so is via social media.

5. Which is your favourite travel destination in India and the world?

I love Rajasthan, I've been to just three places there and would love to explore more of it.

On a global level, I just love Thailand. It has lots of natural beauty, incredible food, friendly locals and there's just so much to do.

6. Are you someone who likes to take control of the wheel or stay back whilst enjoying the scenic vistas?

Both! I definitely like to take control of the wheel and explore as much as I can in any destination I visit. Once I'm done doing so, I like to sit back n relax for a day or two before I conclude my trip.

Book your trip with Savaari. Safe, sanitized and affordable one-way and roundtrip cabs starting at Rs 9/km.

7. How can travelers in India boost local tourism and help uplift the hospitality industry?

I definitely think travelers should visit more off beat places rather than stick to the popular names. This helps boost local tourism and helps in boosting the hospitality industry. Moreover, famous destinations tend to be overrated, overpriced and overcrowded as well.

8. From where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Traveling of course! However, when I am not traveling, I share content related to my day to day life along with local events and collaborations with various brands.
