Feyre survives on her hunting skills to protect her family from hunger and poverty. She is the youngest of her three sisters and started hunting at the age of 14 when her father’s riches tumbled down and took it upon herself to save her family from the crisis.

This world is divided between the high fae and human beings and they bore a strong grudge against the fae she considered them cruel, cold-blooded, and barbaric. This hatred causes her to kill the fae in the form of a wolf when she encounters it in one of her hunts for food on a cold, dreary day.

This results in her being taken away by a beast to the other side of the wall where fae resides. Taken away to this magical kingdom away from her family fae ascertains that her captor’s face is hidden away by a jewelled mask and that there is an ancient curse upon the island. As Feyre discovers more about her captor and the place, she realizes she has more of a role to play here than she thought. Her hatred for the beast turns to love when she sees the man behind the mask and she will do anything to protect her loved ones from danger.

Self Analysis

Feyre archery is a strong woman. She loves her family fiercely even if they don’t see eye to eye every time. For me, her protectiveness for the ones she loves is truly magnificent.no matter which season of the year it is and no matter how much she has to compromise she fulfils the responsibility towards her family as she promised to her dead mother. Perhaps, doing this since as a child made her mature beyond her age and she continued to shoulder the responsibilities of her family.

She is an unafraid and unapologetic woman who bears every responsibility after her father who was known as the king of merchant’s money got lost and they had to live a life of poverty while her father remained with a shattered knee. I adore Feyre’s character as she is portrayed in this novel as a fierce, strong-willed woman who believes in herself and loves herself as keenly as she loves others.

a line that completely shattered my mind!

“Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don’t feel anything at all.”

Caught in between what is right and wrong and who to trust or not, Rhysland says this very beautiful line that synchronizes with my own belief. He consoles Feyre and reminds her that even being immortal the heart that beats under it is very much human and capable of feeling every emotion.

Famous Quotes

  1. “We need hope, or else we cannot endure.”

  2. “I threw myself into that fire, threw myself into it, into him, and let myself burn.”

  3. “Everything I love has always had a tendency to be taken from me.”

Bottom Line

I suggest this book for anyone who desires to enter into a completely new world. An adventurous, seductive novel is so sensuous that you will be unable to keep it down. From those swift stolen glances of love to fighting death itself, this book has everything.
