Veer Kataria - Don’t Give Up, Keep the Hunger to Learn & Grow Alive, Sooner or Later Success Will Embrace Your Arms (Social Media Influencer From India)

Competition is so high and according to me, it depends individually on how the one tackles the brand how good their content is how they are connected to their audiences and how they really influence their audience.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Veer Kataria. I was a middle-class boy who had to do something different from the crowd from the beginning. I am from Jalandhar, Punjab. I was born on 21 August 2002 in India. I'm 19 years old right now, pursuing my graduation in BSc (Animation & Multimedia).

It has been a wonderful journey since I became a social media influencer a year ago. I have discovered so many new things and met so many new people. My family has been a tremendous support to me in every way, and without them, I would not have accomplished so much.

Last year on this day, I never imagined myself as an influencer, but now I am giving my interview as a result of my hard work and consistency. I have worked with a lot of brands and will continue to do so by being honest about my strengths and limitations. I want to learn and grow more to become a successful social media influencer who can influence more and more people. Along with that, I am the Brand Ambassador of Barbeque Nation.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

It was my personal account for a few years after I started my page. I had no idea about the role of an influencer and had always wished to be one of them. Then last year, I was given my first chance, and I gave it everything I had to show my hard work and interest which gave me positive results.

Later, I started working with more and more brands, where I learned a lot and grew as a person. My page is all about lifestyle and fashion, and I review the brands and companies with which I work.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

There is a very slight difference between bloggers and influencers. A blogger is a person who has a blog and regularly posts there. An influencer is a person who influences other people. If a blogger has a lot of followers/readers who listen to their opinion - he/she is an influencer. So bloggers can become Influencer.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Yes, it is sustainable but can’t ignore the fact that it is a bit difficult for beginners as well I am saying this because nowadays everyone wants to be an influencer.

Competition is so high and according to me, it depends individually on how the one tackles the brand how good their content is how they are connected to their audiences and how they really influence their audience.

If they really bring value to brands definitely brands are ready to pay and according to me if you’re really good at your content then it is easy to sustain but most importantly initially you have to invest money in your content so in the end, I will say If one chooses right path than definitely, it is sustainable to be an influencer.

5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?

Every coin has two sides and it applies to social media as well. It is good and bad and much content out there on social media can be detrimental for many of us. Social media has the power to influence our behaviour and mental health; hence we must think clearly before following someone’s content. Ultimately, it’s solely up to us to decide what to be consumed from social media.

Always keep in mind that social media isn’t real life. Whatever you see on the gram is the filtered part, what influencers chose to show you.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

I believe achieving success is not a single step process or a single day journey. It is a continuous day-to-day process where you may fail several times, but learning from each failure and improving further makes all the differences that a successful person has from the common lot.

Remember- The more failures the longer the journey, the harder the path the bigger is. So, don’t give up, keep the hunger to learn & grow alive, sooner or later success will embrace your arms.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

Before you start on your path to becoming an influencer, you need to first select your interest and then create content about it. You should also have some level of expertise in the field to be able to establish yourself as an influencer.

To become an influencer, you must know who you’re targeting and then do it well to build a loyal follower base. To understand your audience, you can first start by analyzing your current follower base to get insights into their demographics and interests.

Engage with your audience is to asking them a question and starting a conversation about a topic of mutual interest. Interactions like these help build personal connections with your audience and solidify your position as an influencer.
