Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto: The Creator of Bitcoin

 

There’s been a lot of buzz around Satoshi Nakamoto. Whether he or she or maybe they are a creator or investor? Who is it exactly? But one thing is sure he is the creator of Bitcoin i.e. the person who created the original bitcoin paper.

It’s also believed that if Satoshi would have traded his Bitcoin for cash, he must have been immensely rich till now as Satoshi owed 980,000 bitcoins in 2018 who’s net worth was estimated at approximately 11 billion US dollars.

Nobody knows who is Satoshi but here are some of the most popular theories about he/she/they which are well worth reading:

1. The NSA Is Satoshi:

The co-founder of the Russian security company Kaspersky Lab- Natalya Kasperskaja claims that Bitcoin is created by US intelligence agencies to provide funding for the US, Canadian and British intelligence propaganda in different countries.

The claim of Kasperskaja is not new or anything different. But now or even back in the time someone always comes up with evidence proving that Bitcoin is indeed created or I can say invented by the NSA OR the KGB or Mossad.

They claim that Satoshi Nakamoto is a codename used by the group of crypto experts providing secret services on the behalf of the NSA.

However, None of the evidence has been proved accurate to date. Most of these are just false theories.

Does The NSA Know Who Satoshi Is?

Alexander Muse has claimed in one of his articles how the NSA identified Satoshi Nakamoto although he can’t back this up with any facts but claims that all the information published by him is authentic and has been collected by him through a Homeland security source.

Satoshi Is Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto

Most of the journalists have claimed that they have identified Satoshi Nakamoto and he’s a single individual, not a group of people. 

In 204, one of the newspapers ‘The Newsweek’ published a 64 years old ex-engineer and developer namely Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto living in a temple city, CA. 

Satoshi Is Hal Finney:

A member of Forbes- Andy Greenberg claimed that crypto expert Hal Finney is in touch with Satoshi Nakamoto. He suggested it because Fenny is involved with Bitcoin from its initial days when it was invented. 

Finney had also received the first test transaction on 12 January 2009. Coincidently Fenny also resides just 1.5 miles away from Dorian Nakamoto in Temple City.

After Greenberg presented this theory most of the people started claiming that Fenny is Satoshi, but Greenberg disapproved of all these claims as to when he visited Fenny, Feeny showed him all the emails which he had exchanged with Satoshi from his Gmail account in the early days of Bitcoin. 

Greenberg disagreed with the fact that Fenny would have created a fake email account named after Satoshi Nakamoto.

Satoshi Is Nick Szabo:

Nick Szabo, the one who presented the idea of Bit Gold in the year 2005 is very similar to Bitcoin. Due to this, most people suggest that Szabo is Satoshi.

Satoshi Is a Local Person

Many believe that Satoshi is a private local person or a group of locals who wants to stay hidden, maybe because he doesn't know what he or they has been doing is legal or illegal. 

What amongst all these is true? Who knows. One can make their mind by going through all these theories provided above. But the most appropriate one according to me is that Satoshi is a local who wants to stay private and will never open up his identity before anyone.

Maybe Satoshi is already dead or might have even lost his private key to his wallet. Well, who knows?
