The movie begins with Anirudh Pathak’s son Raghav worried about his entrance exam result. While Raghav’s parents are divorced, he continues to live with his father and goes to meet his mother frequently. When the exam results are out, Raghav realizes that he has not been able to clear his exam so he jumps off his verandah and tries to commit suicide.
Anirudh comes rushing to the hospital to see his son who is in a critical condition. There the doctor tells him that Raghav has left all his hope to live, so in an attempt to rekindle his belief in himself he narrates him a story of his college life.
So back in the 1990s, there are these six friends Anni, Mummy, Acid, Derek, Bevda, Sexa in college who meet up and become friends while ragging in college. They all are from Hostel 4 which is known as a hostel of ‘Losers’ because they are always the last in the General Championship of Sports which is held in college every year.
So they all decide to work hard together to remove this tag from their hostel name. So then it is shown that by hook or by crook they work really hard to win all the matches of different sports that are played.
It is like they use ‘Saam-Daam-Dand-Bhed’ everything to win the matches. And during this their friendship also grows stronger day by day.
In the end, it is shown that they reach the finals and the final is a basketball match with hostel 3, the hostel which has won the most championships till now.
They lose the final match but they succeed in removing the losers tag from their hostel name because it is not the result that matters but is it the effort that matters. All the hostels give them a standing ovation for the tough fight that they gave and their efforts.
So in the present, Raghav finally understands this and his operation is also successful and he is shown going to the college with a new mindset.

Personal Opinion
I found the movie to be truly interesting and it really delivered a strong message for all the youngsters today.
It teaches us that it is not our result that makes us a winner or a loser, but our efforts decide whether we are a winner or a loser. We should never stop trying to achieve something even when we fail while doing that. Failure is not the end of the world. Rather failure is a part of the process of our growth. We should take failure in a positive sense and learn from it.
Another important message that the film delivers is that friends are really important in our life. In the end, whatever one does, it is the friends and the memories made with them which we remember that gives us happiness. We should always try to make true friends and also try to be someone’s true friend in life.
“Tumhara result decide nahin karta ki tum winner ho ya loser, balki tumhari koshish decide karti hai ki tum winner ho ya loser.”
